Bitterfontein's only accommodation. Lovely little house with Maretha providing dinners and even a picnic breakfast. We felt so welcome and safe. The house is clean and the surroundings beautiful. We will definitely stay here again if we drive through Bitterfontein, would even break away there for a weekend if it wasn't so far from Pretoria.
We loved our time at The Art House, and would definitely stay there again. Host Maretha is a fountain of local knowledge and where to find the best flowers if you are going there in season. We spent 3 nights and enjoyed each night more than the last. Put your first impressions of the town aside and enjoy the spotlessly clean, little, tumble down old cottage. It has all that you need and more. It was great.
After a long day on the road, The Art House offered peace, comfort, delicious food and nostalgia.
Quaint house in a secluded and quiet part of town filled with arts and collectibles. Perfect for the whole family. Great place to relax. Thanks for the hospitality Marieta.
The condition of the building is not good, it is full of stuff. The bedding was spotless. The one room and kitchen's ceilings leave much to be desired.
Unique experience in a hundred year old room. Hostess went out of her way to accommodate us.
