This north-facing cottage, which has a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains, forms part of a restored historic barn dating from the early 20th century.
This cottage can comfortably accommodate a total of 4 guests at a time and comprises 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Both bedrooms are furnished with 2 single beds and the bathroom is fitted with a shower, washbasin and toilet. All linen and towels are provided.
Additionally, this cottage has a kitchen equipped with a gas stove and fridge, cutlery and crockery as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. This space also has a dining area and a lounge with comfortable seating and plenty of books to read. This cottage has no electricity so hot water is provided by a gas heater and solar lamps are provided. This kitchen leads to a large veranda with an outside braai area.
The farm overlooks and includes the Gamka River. Guests can participate in a wide range of activities such as hiking, swimming, canoeing, mountain biking and birdwatching. Located nearby is the Bôjaanskop 4x4 Route. The district offers thermal springs, ostrich farms, the Cango Caves, Seweweeks Poort, Groenfontein-Kruis River Road, the Red Stone Hills, Gamkaberg Provincial Nature Reserve, Rooiberg Pass and the Swartberg Pass.

Peaceful, beautiful, comfortable, and functional. Jenny and Jan were helpful and friendly, not obtrusive!

House rules
There is no electricity inside the cottages. The hosts provide mostly solar lamps and/or rechargeable lamps. Please handle any candles with care. There is no cell phone reception on the farm or in the valley. Limited Wi-Fi is available at the main house.Bookings will be confirmed upon receipt of the 50% deposit, booking form (which the owners will send) and copy of your ID. The final 50% is to be paid 1 week before arrival. If bookings are made within a week of arrival, the hosts require a 100% deposit. Bookings are made on a first-paid, first-served basis. Bookings need to be confirmed at least 2 days in advance so we can make necessary arrangements in time.
