The main bedroom contains a double bed; the second bedroom contains 2 single beds, and the third bedroom contains a three-quarter bed. The bathroom fitted with Victorian bath on legs, a toilet and a quaint old ’Was Tafel’. There is also an outside shower. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and contains a stove, oven, fridge-freezer, bar fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and cutlery and crockery. There is also a breakfast table. Quaint cottage with an outdoor shower! Well appointed, clean and comfortable. Nice big fireplace and closed combustion stove for cold winter evenings.
A beautiful cottage within walking distance of all the village amenities. The deep bath was also a great treat!
The house has a very tranquil feel. One can really just enjoy 'off time'. It is well equipped and a very special place to be. The best for me was that I was allowed to take my dogs along. Special to be in such a peaceful space with the human and furry family.

Needed a pet-friendly getaway from the usual with options for wine tasting and self-catering which The Barn met and exceeded for us and our 2 Jack Russells. Kitchen is very well equipped for self-catering with nice grass lawn and garden for the dogs to explore and fully secure.
Lovely property, authentically decorated. Not really efficiently set up for self-catering with ease. But considering the eat-out options in the area, it's not a huge issue.
The entire place smelt of smoke and the main bedroom only contained a three quarter bed and no burglar bars so we couldn't open the window. The front gate entrance is very impractical and the driveway should be light up at night time. It would be nice if the bath could be re-enameled.
The old building fixtures and furniture creates a fantastic ambiance that perfectly fits the town of McGregor. I will definitely be going back to stay for longer! The Barn totally exceeded my expectations. I loved the character of the old house, and was in awe of the careful finishes that were in keeping with the heritage style of the building. It was immaculately clean with thoughtful hospitality touches. It was a privilege to stay there.
It was fantastic. Gorgeous place. Wow.
What a cute little place with a hell of a lot of atmosphere! Tina went out of her way to make us feel welcome! We could take our two dog children with us, because the yard was nicely fenced. After months of lockdown it was wonderful to be able to sit in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine. The kitchen is particularly well appointed, the rooms lovely clean and the outdoor shower under the stars quite a wow experience, not to mention the old fashioned bath!
Plenty of space, delightful furniture
This is a nice quiet little cottage, that is well furnished and very quiet. A nice hide away from the busy city life. For a traveller, you can be ensured that you will relax and refresh yourself. Very old authentic experience, with all the modern qualities of life.
