First time visiting Pringlebay for a holiday and it was an awesome experience with a lovely stay at The Bay Cottage. Accommodation just as in pictures and everything was just a very relaxing time, a home away from home.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. Everyone had a great time. We were a bit frightened when we arrived and were greeted by a family of baboons in the yard of the Bay Cottage, but otherwise they were harmless and we haven't seen them for the rest of the weekend. The accommodation was exactly as shown in pictures. Clean, tasteful, and everything you need was there. The area is serene and tranquil. Friendly people and a great host who was always on call when something was needed and who came around when we needed help with refilling the gas. Will definitely book again and recommend friends and family to experience this accommodation.

A lovely experience indeed! Over the years, we have stayed in a few holiday accommodations around the Pringle Bay area. The Bay Cottage has certainly been the best so far in terms of overall scoring, and I would say it takes 2nd place for its location. We accidentally forgot to deactivate the alarm immediately upon entry. Within a few minutes, the security response was on-site to assess the situation. This was a great response. Please kindly acknowledge this back to the security company.

We had a great time, but e.g. the detergents included are very few. We were there for 3 days, but there were e.g. only 2 dishwasher tablets. Same with the dishwashing soap, there was 200ml in a little bottle, but you have to wash dishes for 3 days.

The house is elegantly and stylishly furnished. Everything you need for a comfortable visit and holiday. All that bothered was a grill that had not been cleaned for a long time, while there are strict conditions that the barbecue area must be cleaned. Hubby gave the grill one look and we ordered pizza instead. (No one feels like scrubbing grills. ) Surely the cleaning service that cleans before new guests can also clean the barbecue area? It did not spoil a wonderful holiday. The check-in and check-out was also effortless. I wish this beautiful beach house belonged to me!

1. Flapping in the ceiling in the 2nd bedroom (with single beds). Kept us awake the first night. 2. At R2000 p/night we felt that supplying single ply toilet paper was quite poor. 3. There was no jug in the kitchen. 4. Both bathrooms had empty bottles of handwash. 5. The toaster was broken and tripping the electrcity, but was replaced Saturday morning.

The location was good and the cottage was comfortable. Check-out time is 9:30 am, which is a bit early. Was annoying to have to clean the braai area ourselves. The owner/manager was quite rude and is the reason we won't return. She sent a WhatsApp to me on the evening that we checked out with a picture of a broken chair (the curt message simply had a picture of the chair and the words "broken"), implying that we had broken it, despite it being clear from the pictures that the broken piece would have needed to have been unscrewed from the seat. When I replied to say that we didn't use that seat, she couldn't even be bothered to respond. If you visit this place, I suggest taking pictures of the place upon arrival so that you don't have to contend with any unfounded accusations about damages from a rude owner/manager.

More attention to small finishing. Toilet paper, barbecue wood, salt and pepper, cleaning up lawns where dogs have soiled. Otherwise very neat.

Very nice and peaceful place. Very beautiful and spacious for a family to enjoy a weekend away. The Bay cottage are equipped with everything you need. Safe and private place to be. The only negative is that you have to drive your own rubbish bags to a drop off point. We were 4 people with our luggage in the car and the boot were fully packed and there was no way we were going to drive with the rubbish bags in the car on the inside, we also had to clean the braai ourselves witch was a first for us. Other than that very nice place to be.

The house was spotless and very spacious, the pool and braai area are amazing for an afternoon of braaing. The rooms are beautiful and bathrooms just as great. The beach is just a stroll away which is amazing. If you are looking for a romantic weekend away I would strongly recommend this place! We had a great time. Thank you.

It's so beautiful! There is clearly a stylish touch to the house, facilities are luxurious, new and modern, we found the living room a bit cramped as it rained all the time, but the rest of the house is excellently furnished, plenty of cutlery and everything needed . A short walk from a beautiful beach. We'll be back soon!

This home is beautifully decorated and has everything a family of three or four needs. Lovely indoor braai for the colder evenings and in summer it could get quite windy so this works well. Very quite neighbourhood, just what we wanted. The only issue we experienced was that we wanted to set the alarm whilst inside the home, but this setting still needs to programmed.

Found that there are very limited glasses and bowls. No tupperware or anything to store food in the fridge. There was also no small vegetable peeling knife. Nor floor cloths or at least 'paper towels' or something like that. The front sliding doors are very difficult to open and close. Some of the windows' hinges (plastic) are broken. Some of the Tieback holders screwed into the wall hang loosely from the wall. The 'loungers' for the pool were contaminated with bird droppings. The pigeons sit on the outside lights by the bedrooms and miss the place. There was such a dirty smelly old carpet thrown over the one lounger - very creepy and dirty. Some of the outdoor cushions were stained and old. We travel a lot overseas and locally and for the price you pay I would expect at least free WiFi as well as 2 ply toilet paper? Furthermore, the place is beautiful, the location is fantastic - the decor is exceptional and we enjoyed it very much. Just a note: The water in the showers is not draining well - I think there is a blockage somewhere and suggest you get a plumber out to look at it as the water bubbles up from the drain with a bad smell.

I don't like that guests are expected to clean the barbecue area. At the price we paid, one would at least expect basic cleaning services to be included. The list of threats against the fridge was a bit of a surprise. We do understand that guests will be held responsible for damage caused by baboons if windows are left open. A little coffee, sugar and milk would have been appreciated. Even if it was only enough for one day. Master bedroom bedding was scratchy against your skin. Must be replaced. It is indeed a beautiful house, but we missed a sea view.

I asked about TV. They just said they didn't know when. Sunday we packed up and returned. Only had to leave on Monday.
