Quiet atmosphere, location is perfect!
Really enjoyed our stay at the Beachfront. The proximity to the semi-private beach and Boulders Bay is fantastic, and the walk to the main beach is very pleasant. The garden, swimming pool, and braai facilities are very well-kept with beautiful plants, trees, and flowers. The unit is very spacious and comfortable with a full dining room, kitchen, lounge, patio, and two showers and a bath. The furniture is a bit old, and some of the kitchen utensils are a bit rusty, but the location, safety, and spaciousness more than make up for this minor 'complaint'. The unit itself is 3.5 stars, but due to the sea view, the excellent location, outdoor facilities, and close proximity to many interesting outings and beautiful beaches, I would rate the overall stay 4.8 stars.

Place was clean and tidy with all the amenities. No loadshedding! Beautiful gardens. The location MBT, the town is within walking distance of Spar and pharmacy.

Access to a beautiful private beach. Walking distance from Ramsgate's main beach. Cottage is well equipped. Very nice bathing facilities. House does not get unbearably hot during load shedding and is cozy and warm in cooler weather. Our children felt welcome at all times. Braai facilities are very good and more than enough of them! The owner provided a good, rechargeable light, which helped enormously when we wanted to barbecue during load shedding and for the children to find the toilet facilities at night. Would only recommend to future guests that you take your own dish soap, sponge, drying cloth and toilet paper with you, as well as soap bars for the dishwasher if you want to use them. Overall very good value for money and a friendly, helpful owner. Definitely worth it. An opportunity for a good getaway event.
The apartment was great located. The view is fairytale beautiful. Very neat garden. Very well kept instantly. Close to the main beach. The apartment had everything we needed. The swimming pool and braai facilities were clean and tidy every day. The owner was a call away if needed. Was received kindly and if we wanted to know something or were short we were quickly helped. Would definitely recommend the stay to someone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of life.

We had a wonderful stay. Dr. Appelgryn communicated with us all the time and passed on information about the area which we really appreciated. The location is unbeatable and we often went for walks on the beach. It's neat and the pool is a big bonus. It is also very secure with alarms and cameras. We will definitely go there again. A little unhappy about a few things. Owner, parking, kitchenware, builders, etc.
The only thing we were worried about was the car because it was not parked under cover. Worried about the weather conditions that were taking place, but overall, everything was superb.
We were welcomed on arrival by the host, shown around the unit and made to feel at home. We can't wait to go back!
Was very nice. Dr. Appelgryn was very hospitable and made us feel at ease. Uncle Andries was also very friendly. Which would only make it nicer if there was a cleaner included who could only tidy up every day.

The holiday was a celebration of my mom's 61st birthday as well as the first time she took a plane. The unit was the perfect getaway. Sea view from all the bedrooms. Direct access to the beach. It's the best to hear the waves when you wake up in the morning. We'll definitely come visit again.
We enjoyed it a lot and were able to rest well. The apartment is well equipped, clean and tidy. We appreciated the dishwasher! Also the washing machines. Furthermore, the beautiful garden and the view over the sea contributed to the tranquility. We appreciate the fact that it is not as busy as at e.g. Margate is not. We will definitely use the apartment again.

Upon arrival the apartment wasn't clean and ready for us. They were still busy to clean.
If you're used to vacation properties where things don't work (like TV remotes) and are willing to wait two weeks to get them fixed, feel free to stay there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beachfront Unit 2. The apartment is very comfortable and clean. We slept and rested wonderfully and the view over the sea is unbeatable. We intend to go again soon.
Everything from the arrival to departure was one great pleasure. The apartment was beautifully clean and tidy, the garden is a quiet harbour after the walk down to the beach. The pool is a beautiful clean refreshment. The braai area was the heartbeat of our visit - the outside shower works well and helps to leave the sand just there. There is more than enough crockery for 4 people and nothing was missing at all. We really felt at home - Afrikaans was definitely the highlight - the friendly staff and of course the lovely chats with Oom Andries will stay with us for a long time. Our sincere thanks to Oom Theuns, you are a star to present everything so lovely. We will definitely come and visit again. Last but not least, the view - we could see the whales from the apartment, ships have gone by and we snorkelled with the nature-friendly dolphins who came to say hello - how cool is that? (All in one package - good discount price).
Theuns and Andries were brilliant hosts. The Beachfront Unit 2 was perfect. Fantastic braai facilities and if you ask Andries nicely Fortunate makes the best pap 'n gravy too. The unit is literally on the beach! We visit Ramsgate area at least once a year and we will now go only to this venue. Too lekker ! Baie dankie Theuns en Andries, julle plek is te lekker. The site is located in a quiet area and the access to the beach is just a few steps through the site's gate which opens onto the beach. Very safe and particularly beautiful.

Bed in main room extremely uncomfortable. Surfaces clean, however fan blades very dirty and nooks and cranies not clean.
It was a very comfortable and peaceful week. We enjoyed it very much. The facilities were clean and well appointed. The semi-private beach was great for relaxing and if the kids want to swim, the main beach is a 10-minute boardwalk away. We will definitely stay there again.

The unit is very well furnished with everything one could need, and the manager of the complex is available at all times. This place is definitely one of the best kept secrets of the South Coast. It's a small complex, with a gate to a private beach, but close enough to walk to Ramsgate's main beach. Close to many places to eat and attractions. Ideal for someone who wants to be part of the 'buzz' but still want to enjoy a quiet and private holiday.
There is a very poor DStv package. The internet is very good. The gate to the beach is out of order. It's a very nice bath, but the water seeps out, so we couldn't use it. Well located! Otherwise very nice stay. Very helpful and friendly service.

The set up of the unit is great and there is everything you would need for your holiday in the unit. The gardens are beautiful, the braai area also set out very well and the view and route to the beach something to really enjoy.
The unit has been recently redone and is beautiful. There is plenty of kitchenware and cutlery. The complex is small, which makes one's experience more 'intimate' than a large apartment complex. The beach is almost on your doorstep and is accessed through a security gate. The veranda of the unit is also enclosed, so one can see the beach and sea without being bothered by the wind. The beach right by the complex is not really meant for swimming (lots of rocks and sea currents), but swimming beaches are within walking distance. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the unit, the privacy of the complex and the convenience of a well-equipped kitchen. The bed linen (sheets) were a little tired, but clean. It was lovely to have the beach almost on our doorstep - just like the picture on the internet! I was very impressed that the manager, Andries, arranged full access to MNet for us. He was also available the whole time if we struggled with something.
The place was overall neat and clean to the eye. Uncle Andries' service was excellent. We generally had a nice stay and really enjoyed our holiday. It was very quiet and peaceful and nobody bothered us, which was very nice.
The Beachfront Unit 2 is good value for money, nice and close to the beach and walking distance to the swimming beach (provided you take a pram for the baby).
