The sea view is something special. Our 2nd day there we went to buy binoculars to see everything better. The Boathouse has everything a self-catering unit should have.
It was the best decision we could have made. The space, the quality, the hostess' care, everything was super great. It's definitely an exceptional studio! The musty smell, which seems to be a big problem in Jongensfontein, is very unfortunate. We enjoyed 4 days there, but unfortunately it affected me very badly.

View is breathtakingly beautiful. Very well furnished with the most beautiful decor. Clean and tidy. Perfect for a couple looking to get away for a bit. We really enjoyed the fireplace. The Boathouse will see us again for sure.
Corne let us know before arrival that we could check in earlier. On arrival we were received very hospitably. Unit was spotless and had only the best fixtures, bedding and towels. Everything one could possibly need was available. View and location are excellent. Can highly recommend the stay.

Everything is so clean and beautiful. Had a great time. Rained a bit wet to be able to braai and quite missed an oven. However, nothing is insurmountable and accommodation is great. Would love to go again somewhere in the future. Recommend it boldly.

The Boathouse has all the kitchen equipment and appliances that you would need, and more. The indoor fireplace was an added bonus during the cold weather. There is also a very neat braai area adjacent to the kitchen with lovely sea views.

The Boathouse is absolutely the best place to relax and just rest. Falling asleep with the waves breaking is idyllic. Best is there is power even if it is loadshedding. All that was negative was that we were there too short. Will definitely recommend.

I was just looking for peace and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Boathouse was just perfect. Beautifully furnished, amazing sea view, red bench for drinking coffee during sunrise and for sunsets. Every day a different sea face that greets you. Everything and more available in the unit. Corne and her husband, very friendly. So is Rufus, the dog who drops by a few times each day. Would also be perfect for 2 people. Felt so safe. I can confidently recommend The Boathouse.
Only negative point for us is the inconvenient parking. Otherwise no complaints.

Perfect seaside getaway.

The unit is under a house with a nice view of the sea, but high above the sea - I read the advertising photos as facing the sea, with only the road in between. So look at the map first before you decide to book. There is a footpath down to a tidal pool, but it is slightly out of the main beach part of the village. There is everything you need, except that to my embarrassment I had to ask for toilet paper (we got half a roll). I wouldn't come here again myself, but it depends on what you like. I want to be closer to the beach next time. And make sure the room's deodorizer is off - it kept us awake the first night until we could work out the repetitive noise the next morning!
