What an amazing place for a couple to just get away from it all. It has a beautiful view, very friendly hosts, and is so clean. Very safe and close to a mall.
Upon arrival I was overwhelmed. Was worried about the safety of my bakkie and they immediately made room for me in their garage.
Our hosts were super friendly and very professional, yet homely. The unit is upmarket, but not overdone. And kept in immaculate condition. Set in a quiet area, one can really enjoy the rest from a busy life.
Fanie is a real host, so professional and friendly. Not a moment passes to make sure we lack for nothing. The apartment is beautiful, well equipped and very luxurious. Very nice sea view, peaceful environment and just bitterly beautiful.
Fanie offers a professional service to guests occupying the self-catering unit. Having access to a lockup garage is an absolute plus in present day South Africa. My only suggestion is that the mattress's might need to be assessed for replacement in the next year or so.

Fanie's customer service is really good in the sense that he communicates with us in advance via WhatsApp about who we will be receiving and precautions they have taken for the water cuts that their area has experienced. Very nice view of the sea with a private veranda and safe parking in a garage. Would definitely recommend and go again myself.

Very friendly welcome. The unit was very clean and tidy and has a wonderful view of the sea. Was also quiet and peaceful. Cell phone reception wasn't great (actually a positive), but the WiFi did the trick.

Very nice weather, Durban as a whole is clean (roads), loadshedding is not like in Gauteng. People are friendly in shops if you visit. Everyone wears masks and sanitise. I felt safe visiting Durban.
Had a wonderful 2-night stay. Very private and serene, calm sea views and beautiful garden. The kitchen was well stocked and the apartment had everything a traveller could possibly need. 10 out of 10. Would recommend highly.

Neat and clean. Air conditioner was a lifesaver.
The stay is worth the money. Neat, stylish and it feels like you are staying in a hotel. It's self-care that makes it fantasy. You can barbecue there, you have a stove with oven at your disposal and a microwave. There is a fridge and TV set with DSTV. There is an air conditioner and fan. Nice towels in bathroom with soap, shampoo and body lotion. Beautiful bed linen and super comfortable bed. The owners are very helpful and friendly.

As with all my business trips to KZN, I make sure that I am in a quiet environment where there is not too much noise and disturbance so that I can work and carry on undisturbed. I am also in a position where I come and go at different times due to business transactions, so it is critical for many that I myself do not disturb others with coming and going times. I prefer a place like The Bridgewing because it is well located near everything I need as well as all the connecting roads and routes. It is then only me who is there. The owners of The Bridgewing went above and beyond to make me feel at home. I can only tell them that I will definitely use their accommodation again and will not hesitate to refer business to them. My room was well maintained and I had everything I needed there and even more. The view there is excellent and the area is nice and quiet. I could probably write a book about my satisfaction, but to The Bridgewing I just want to say thank you for allowing me to enjoy the benefits and service of a 5-star accommodation for the price of a 3-star accommodation.
Because I'm from the Cape, it wasn't important to walk on the beach. I had so much fun relaxing with a sea view. Everything I expected was there, but only 10 times better. I would recommend The Bridgewing to anyone looking to relax. Your privacy is respected, you get top treatment in all respects. The owners of the house carried us on their hands. Anything we needed was at our disposal. It felt like I was visiting home. Thank you very much again.

It is quiet and peaceful; you will never say you're in the middle of a built-up area. The accommodation itself is very neat with all basic and needed requirements.

When we arrived, even though late at night we were accepted with open arms. The owners provided us with snacks and milk so that we did not have to drive and buy. The dwelling was neat, clean and kept very well. The most enjoyable was in the morning when you wake up in the morning and work outside you see the sea and hear the waves. Amazing!!! The Bridgewing is the best equipped self-catering apartment that I have seen. I had everything that was needed and more. The room is spacious and comfortable, very clean and with a lovely sea view. We booked for seven days .Owners were away for five days.We felt very comfortable and safe all alone. We had a garage to park our car for all seven days. All kitchen utensils were very clean and up to standard. Bedding fresh and crisp.Bathroom very clean.
