Spacious overnight accommodation in quiet gulf estate at Clarens. Well equipped with warm blanket. Heaters on the walls to keep the cold out. Very nice and interesting decor. Eskom remains a challenge everywhere. Nice braai facilities with weber.
Warm welcome to the beautiful golf estate. Clean and quaint. Has everything you need even on a cold rainy day in which you never feel crammed in. Beautiful views from all the windows. Well kept appliences and features. Close enough to the main town.
Driving from Pretoria the scenic route via Golden Gate was lively with great photo opportunities. From Harrismith via Golden Gate the road also offered safe travels. The golf course was great and even joined the Clarens Parkrun scenic route. Thank you Toni for a lovely stay.

The accommodation surprises with quality. It was unexpectedly cold, but with delicious coffee, home-baked cookies and a heated house, the visit was wonderful. Soft, new towels and good hair dryer were a bonus.

Located within Clarens Golf Estate with security at gate 24 hours a day. Self-catering unit is opposite other units, but very private. The porch is divided up so that each unit has its own private porch. Wilde-als is at the closest point to the parking lot with its own fireplace and seating on the porch. Perfect for the cold Clarens winters. Inside, the one bedroom unit is clean and tidy with a king size bed and plenty of space. Enough heating and bedding to keep from getting cold. Self-catering: kitchenette with everything you need. Always a winner and value for money.
The accommodation was exactly what we were looking for. The place is outside Clarens on the Golf Estate, so take that into account if you want to be inside the town. But it's safe, quiet and literally 2 minutes drive from the center of town. Peter's art in the gallery inside the main house was breathtaking. We will definitely stay there again on our next Clarens trip.

Safe, quiet and beautiful surroundings. We all had a great time staying and visiting. The fireplaces were lovely and cozy. It is safe and quiet and the nature around us was food for the soul. The kitchen was well equipped for 2 and the rooms spacious. Will definitely visit again in the future.

The Clarens Country house was a real pleasure to stay at. Especially because it is safe accommodation in a Golf Estate which is convenient and nice for walking. It is walking distance to the village as well. More importantly, my consideration for doing my booking there again is because the management welcomed my little Yorkie dog and that he was no problem for them. I would definitely recommend it.
Hospitality, cleanliness, silence and service indescribably good. Extremely well equipped apartment with more than one needs! Can't go wrong staying there overnight or for a few days!
We found the Ouhout suite superb. We were so warm and cosy and comfortable and spacious. They have thought of everything, even a pair of scissors to cut the coffee sachets. We will certainly recommend you and hope to be back sometime.
We were received very kindly. This is a very clean and unique self-catering unit. We give you 100% for how clean everything was. Thanks a lot Craig. We found the couches in the room and the chairs on the porch too hard, but the tubs were comfortable. It's just personal taste. The bed was also too hard, again personally we like a softer bed. Overall, it was a very good place to stay and we can recommend it. The breakfast was also very tasty.

One can hardly improve on the location. We were received kindly and were made to feel welcome throughout. The facilities are great as is the cleanliness. We felt very safe at all times and will use the accommodation again.
Our only complaint (we live outside the city) was that the curtains were too thin to keep the light out. Fifteen minutes later, there were new curtains! Excellent service! I would ask for a reading lamp next to the chair, but its a small thing. We had a lovely stay.

We had a lovely stay at Clarens Country House. We were met personally upon arrival. The room was off to one side and private... luxurious, clean and very tidy. I especially liked the personal "touch" with Clarens bakery's sweet cookies and rusks together with the delicious filter coffee. Beautiful artwork in lobby. The green fee discount at the Clarens golf course was a further bonus. I will stay there again without a doubt... and so will my friends.
The weekend away was bitterly cold. So the 15 min walk to town we didn't dare and still drove, which was a shame. The porch (although there are fireplaces) was still too cold to use. We expected that people would be able to use the stoep even in winter. Otherwise a lovely weekend getaway. Great, neat and clean facilities.

We stayed in the Bosman suite which is very spacious. Everything was beautiful, neat and the little extras made it special. Milk in the fridge, biscuits, cookies, coffee, tea, sugar in the kitchen, soap and other goodies in the bathroom. The only negative is that your vehicle is not parked under a roof.

It was our first time in Clarens and we did not regret choosing the area! We fell in love so quietly! The guest house was beautiful and the living area well equipped. We had a lovely stay at The Clarens Country House. I would recommend it to anyone.
In the late evening we were received by the landlady and "doorbell"...one of the four-legged friends who live on the property! Friendliness runs throughout from top management to the workers on the property. Nothing is too much trouble and they set up a cot for us in the room. The accommodation was neat, clean and comfortable. The most beautiful porch opens onto the lawn and we had no worries that our 15-month-old daughter could get hurt outside. We were surrounded by the most beautiful scenery and we could relax and take in the beauty of nature. It is ideal for a weekend getaway and where you don't want to be in the confusion of traffic and people! And of course very nice when you pack your golf kit!

The entire town was filled with friendly people. The culture captured is amazing and is even more beautiful with the mountain surroundings. We are so grateful for the time we had in Clarens, and will definitely be back!

What a wonderful and peaceful experience in the most beautiful setting with views that speak to the soul. Everything is of outstanding quality and taking a drive from Clarens to Fouriesburg is a must!! A visit to The Clarens Country House is highly recommendable.

Nice, cosy and private. We travel during the day but enjoy the evenings sitting in front of the fireplace and enjoy a glass of sherry. We will certainly use the venue again when we passing through. Wish our stay could be longer.
