The cottage is well equipped and the hostess makes a lot of effort to look after guests. The wood for the fireplace and braai area had already been packed and the pool was pre-heated upon our arrival. The yard is fenced which makes it safe for children or animals. It is very peaceful with nice views from the seats on the veranda.

Beautiful cottage in a peaceful setting. Two girlfriends who each had their own room with full ensuite, with lovely large showers and lovely bathrooms. Christine put in so much effort. Foaming soap for the bathrooms, lots of extra towels for the outdoor wooden bath, delicious bottle of red wine and olives for our arrival. Plenty of wood and blitz to keep all the fires burning. We will definitely book again!

Perfect place for a weekend away to be peaceful. The cottage is perfect and has everything you need and more! It has an alarm and is fenced, which makes one feel very safe. And the fact that it was fenced in, our little one could safely play "inside". With solar lights outside and rechargeable lights inside, load shedding didn't bother us at all. The indoor barbecue was nice for a cold evening! We will be back again soon!

A very nice house on a farm between Kleinmond and Hermanus with a nice play area for children and a jacuzzi for the cold winter. Also indoor and outdoor grills that keep you warm all the time. Friendly people who are very helpful. Will go here again to relax.

It was just what you need to get a break from city life. No cars - no sirens. The attention to detail was phenomenal. The tub was hot upon our arrival and ready for us to enjoy. Wood was provided from blitz to matches. Daily walks on the farm were peaceful and serene. Absolute gem of a place.

A wonderful visit where the hostess goes above and beyond to provide the finest details (ranging from essentials to pure pampering). Cleanest grill, bag of ice in fridge, plenty of wood, hot tub right temperature on arrival to be able to get in right away, bottle of local wine, Lindt chocolate, bubblebath, lamps for power outages, great bedding, plenty of towels so you don't have to feel left out with a not wet ones, can visit until Sunday and make the weekend extra long and handy list of things to do and restaurants with contact details etc.

The size of the cottage definitely exceeded my expectations, a spacious shower and bath for both bedrooms and a huge king size bed! Christine goes beyond in making you feel welcome, on arrival we received a bottle red wine and some chocolates and Christine was warming up the wood-fired hot tub. She considered the small things which I loved and we will definitely be visiting again soon!

We went to stay on New Year's River for a getaway weekend in early November. It was a windy weekend, but the place is built so that the visiting areas are nicely sheltered. The braai place, hot tub and other facilities are top notch. Christine received us warmly and immediately made us feel at home. A gem of a place. We will do so again, for sure.

The freshly picked sweet corn that Christine's husband brought us to grill was the best ever!
