Such an awesome room. Modern and very clean. It was great and I am already looking forward to a future stay. Being central and having the ability to securely park the car without any worries was a breath of fresh air. Watching the sun rise over the mountains early in the morning with a coffee from the balcony was just what we needed. The owners were on site and were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast at the bakery is 100% worth it, delicious!

Jane is a warm and welcoming host. The accommodation is very comfortable and newly renovated. The Courtyard is central to everything, we walked to all the restaurants and our car was locked up safe. The accommodation is above the bakery and Jane makes the best croissants we've ever had! We will stay at the Courtyard again.

We had such a nice stay at Courtyard. Restaurant was shut in the evenings for private functions, but there was luckily lots of other eateries. Noise in the kitchen early in the morning is a bit bothersome, but not too bad. Will definitely stay there again.

It is so centrally located, room is beautiful. What I really enjoyed is that you have a code to get into the room, no worries about the key. Terribly friendly owners. Would recommend it. I think they can consider including breakfast in the price, or adjust the price and include it.
I gave 3 stars for parking as the security gate was left wide open until late at night. There is no undercover parking, which for a Harley Davidson motorcycle is a must!

Realizing they moved to a new premises, and we still stay at the old Guest House, but it is still very good. Quiet location, not so busy. Self catering section. There was only one thing missing: "Braai Tongs". Apart from that, very good!
Perfect accommodation for our family of four. We loved Jane, she made us feel very welcome. We stayed in Room 1 it was perfect for our family, we all sat around the fireplace reading the books we bought at the bookshop in town. We did not even switch on the TV – we had a lovely view of the mountain with beautiful sunsets. The bakery – coffee shop downstairs was fantastic and we had the best breakfast there. We enjoyed many short walks to the town square and never worried about driving anywhere. The room had everything we needed and we could easily have stayed there for a week. My only regret is not buying more goodies to bring home from the bakery – best fudge and cookies in the world. Thanks Jane - we will see you guys again.

The apartment was great. With a neat bathroom with a shower, a kitchenette with a microwave oven, fridge, stove and sink. There is also a dining table and a lounge with a TV. There is a porch and a large separate bedroom with a king-size bed. Everything was clean and very tidy. Secure parking. It is right at Clarens entrance with a steep uphill if you want to walk into town so keep that in mind. It takes you 3 minutes to drive. Would definitely recommend the place. The nicest bakery and restaurant is right below the apartment.

Stay was wonderful and everything was organized. Lovely, spacious rooms and well equipped. Breakfast at the coffee shop was delicious - friendly staff. Only problem was that the geyser in the guest house is shared with the coffee shop downstairs. The shower was sometimes a nightmare when the toilet is flushed down the water is incredibly hot in the shower ─ you just have to shower early!

Southern living unit gets little sun and has a cold tiled floor. The fireplace is lovely, there were 5 bags of wood for a 3 day stay, so it was nice and warm!
The bedding was clean and fresh and we slept nice and warm. The apartment had a drain smell that smelled bad in the bathroom and in the kitchen. With a bar only a few meters away, the music until 3am was quite a disturbance.

To break away from the city we can recommend Courtyard B&B anytime. We chose to try the places to eat in Clarens. However, the rooms are equipped to prepare your own food. The most delicious pastries can be bought at Courtyard's coffee shop. Breakfast there was also delicious. The restaurant for dinner is a must. The rooms were serviced during the weekend and were always a pleasure to be there. Look no further than Courtyard for a delightful stay.
A lovely stay all in all. The only thing I would have appreciated in the room was an electric fan (it was very warm), opening the window did not do the trick.

The stay was very pleasant, the address is well located with the restaurant, coffee shop and spa around you.
The apartment is spacious and spotlessly clean and coffee and tea are provided. Jane very pleasant and staff friendly. Delicious bakery. However, the parking needs to be upgraded. No shelters and was afraid of hail, because it rained a lot and we had to drive our little car through puddles of mud in front of the parking lot entrance.

Very nice and spacious apartment that was very well equipped with all a traveller could need. Situated at the entrance to town very close to the main road and therefore noisy due to traffic passing. Apartments are still new but already some building failures are showing (floor tiles). This needs to be fixed soonest to avoid further damage. Mountain area is beautiful and ideal for day hikes.

This was our first visit to Clarens. I did a lot of searching and investigation on the accommodation in and around Clarens. When I saw Courtyard's bedrooms on the website, I immediately secure out booking. Still we were astonished by the large, spacious rooms, crisp linen and towels and beautiful decor. The owners are lovely friendly people and went out of their way to help us. Don't miss their cheesecake.We will be back next year with our kids.

The B & B was in a safe & convenient area, and very clean. Stellar customer service - they gave us access to a shower in another room when my mother-in-law had difficulties with the tub. Breakfast was yummy, too.
NThe location is very convenient, however there is a night club or bar close to the B&B which was quite noisy and we were a bit concerned about the noise and potential security. In the end, neither were issues as the music was stopped sharply at midnight and the guests appeared to move away quickly and without fuss. I would recommend this B&B to our friends.
We were welcomed warmly, the rooms were clean, neat and cosy. Kitchen fully ecquiped, although we preferred to eat the most delicious food at the Cafe. Parking safe. Even street parking was safe! Only problem was nearby bar where there was some noise, but not too bad.

The room we stayed in was clean and well equipped, and the service was nothing short of brilliant - the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The food was very good and I really liked the design of the café and the guest house, as it has a European feel. The only draw back I can mention is that the guest house is situated at the entrance of Clarens so there is a lot of traffic noise from the Bethlehem Golden Gate road. The bar down the road was also very noisy on Friday night, however the music stopped at 12pm. All in all a wonderful place to stay if you want classic architecture, great food and amazing service.
My wife and I did not know what to expect as we had not been to Clarens before but the stay at this establishment has encouraged us to do the trip again.
One night stay. Good space, lounge could do with a proper couch,more than one extra blanket for the bed, a bigger cupboard in the bedroom and a larger shower in the bathroom. Extra firewood for the fireplace would have been nice. Good overall.

This little wooden cottage is located at the back of the Courtyard property facing on to Roos Street and is perfect for a family with children. The unit comprises 2 bedrooms and the first bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, bath, toilet and basin. Complementary toiletries are provided. The second bedroom is furnished with a child-only bunk bed. Electric blankets are available on all the beds. They are equipped with a small bar fridge, hairdryer, aircon, bathroom with a shower and TV with Netflix.
The Courtyard Guest House has a bakery on the ground floor, or try any one of the nearby eateries in the village. The cottage is fully equipped as a self-catering unit.
