Daiquiri Shaq was a beautiful place with a nice view on every side. It's on a hill with a sea view and the area was very quiet and peaceful. The hostess always answered us immediately when we asked her something and was very nice and helpful. The place is very nice inside and the blue and white interior made us feel like we were by the sea. Feel free to stop by Daiquiri Shaq if you're in the area.
Perfect location, view and a very nice clean room with everything you need. Very cozy and a great place to be if you want to get away from busy life for a while.

The Daiquiri Shaq was a phenomenal experience. From the breathtaking views to the attention to detail in the accommodation itself, the Daiquiri Shaq truly transcends all expectations. Mandi goes above and beyond to ensure an enjoyable and comfortable stay. The rooms were spotless and the bathroom has ample space for a luxurious and relaxing shower. The entertainment provided was well above my expectations with a plethora of TV channel options as well as a Netflix profile for your assigned 'Shaq'. The kitchenette was well stocked along with all the essentials such as tea, coffee and sugar. There are enough pots and pans to allow for self-catering, as well as a private braai area in the front of your 'Shaq', which is also kitted out with braai equipment. There were no issues with privacy; all the windows had sufficient coverage with blinds and curtains. The bed was huge, truly something that you would expect from a 5-star hotel, and I had ample room to relax and even roll around without disturbing my partner. From the front of the 'Shaq', the ocean beckons you with welcoming waves. We watched the sunrise from the ocean's horizon as the West Coast succulents were washed in the bronze rays of the rising sun. To the back of the 'Shaq' are the green rolling hills, with natural West Coast fauna in the foreground. The scenic wind turbines in the far distance over the green hills offered a view that I have never seen before. The sun sets behind these hills are truly breathtaking. My partner and I sat in the private seating provided by our 'Shaq's' backdoor balcony and enjoyed the breeze while watching the sun finally retire. She even said that she saw a deer waltz by her while I was taking an amazing shower. Truly, words cannot summarise the experience that I had at the Daiquiri Shaq. Just book and enjoy. Not even the pictures do this place justice. You will not regret it.
Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The owners were so lovely and accommodating. The space is tastefully decorated and comes equipped with everything you need. With views of the mountains and fields on one side, and the ocean on the other side, you get to witness the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We will most definitely be back!
We had the best weekend! Beautiful location, gorgeous accommodation with everything we needed, and the host was always available if we did need anything else. Can't wait to go back!

We had a very nice stay. Perfect location on top of the mountain with a view over St Helena Bay as well as over to Paternoster and the sea. We could sit outside until late because the veranda is well sheltered from the wind and a second veranda for mornings when the sun shines brightly.
We enjoyed it very much. The place was stylishly furnished, clean and tidy.
The Daiquiri Shaq is fantastically located on top of the ridge above St. Helena Bay for views east and west from the verandas to the sea. It is tastefully furnished for two with all the necessary facilities and a spacious shower. On the way to the Shaq, quite a few houses are still being built and there are road works on practically all the access roads around Vredenburg - it was bad for our visit, but promises good access in the future.
The view from the cottage was amazing. Would not say ideal. It takes quite a ride to get to the cottage as it is on the highest peak. It is great for a couple who do not want to cook but if you do your own cooking like us the kitchen is totally under equipped. It should due to the lack of kitchen utensils not be called self catering. There were 2 pots. 1 was so tiny you could not even cook a egg but so badly rusted we could not use it. The other pot so large it is for a family of 6. There is only 2 glasses. 2 plates ect. This meant i had to keep washing to get clean utensils. . That was very disappointing. The variety of kitchen utensils is so limited. The cottage is spacious and the decor is lovely. Huge bathroom but nowhere to put your toiletries.
We had a wonderful stay at The Daiquiri Shaq. Beautiful accommodation and such friendly and helpful hosts. The accommodation also has wonderful views, I really enjoyed watching the sunsets.
The Daiq Shaq is such a peaceful place, and we were welcomed by warm and friendly hosts. The well-equipped little apartment has a huge bed! Delightful sea views in both directions. Good for the soul.
What a wonderful little place. It was super comfortable and clean with everything we needed. The views were amazing. We watched the sun setting from the deck and then had a braai on the other side overlooking the bay. We will definitely go back for a longer stay! Highly recommended.
