House rules
Holding Security Deposit:A standard key and breakage deposit is required before or at check-in. The deposit amount depends on the length of stay and the standard of the apartment and may be adjusted at the owner’s or management’s discretion.
The holding deposit is processed through a secure link using a credit card. This is merely a hold on the amount, which is released within 14 days after checkout if no claims are reported. There will be no actual deduction from your account, so no credit will be shown. On your bank statement, you may see the hold, and the available balance will be less than the actual balance. Once the hold is released, the hold will no longer appear, and your available balance will correspond with the actual balance again. If a credit card is unavailable for the holding deposit, the deposit can be paid via EFT and must be cleared and reflected in our account before arrival. We will then require a bank confirmation letter to process the refund back to your account.
If neither of the above options is possible, a refundable cash or debit card payment must be made before check-in, with a minimum fee of R150 applicable for processing the refund back to your account. No cash refunds will be allowed.
Deposits will be refunded within 14 days after checkout, provided everything is in order.
The purpose of the holding deposit is to cover any incidentals, including but not limited to lost or broken keys, damages to the property, stained or heavily soiled linen, excessively dirty apartments, noise complaints, or any breach of house rules.
A late check-in fee applies for check-ins after 18:00.
The original credit card used for the reservation, along with positive identification of the cardholder, must be presented upon check-in.
No keys will be handed over without the above requirements.
