19 guests' feedbackThe rooms are big and tidy. Good service.
Only drawback was the restaurant service, very slow and quite frustrating to receive one guest's food 30 minutes before another guest's food. Cannot make any exceptions to the dinner menu, such as ordering from the lunch baskets. Basics, such as tomato sauce not available, had to be fetched from the breakfast hall. Tables did not have salt and pepper on them.
The breakfast was not great, and the chef was not around when a number of guests were waiting for eggs. They served margarine and could not offer butter when requested. The lounge suite in the room was so old and sagged in the middle that I preferred to sit on the floor.
Enjoyed breakfast. Other meals were fine but food 2 1\2 out of 5. The facility has no tuck shop to buy luxury or other for kids/teenagers The nearest shop was in Bredasdorp 20km away (40km return trip).
Dinner could have been better.
Units located in separate blocks. Certain games in games room broken and out of order. Pole poles have no tips at the front. Darts have no flights. Only one umbrella at the pool is whole.
Will definitely come again. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The Dunes is not actually in "town" but a short distance away. The place was very quiet, but clean, neat and an exact representation of the pictures on the site. The staff are super friendly and go over and above to make your stay enjoyable, thank you Doreen! This was a stopover on our journey to George but will be back.

Staff tried to make us feel welcome. Efforts made with gym, and sauna switched on especially for us. Security was very good. Breakfast was good, could improve with service e.g. to ensure that coffee is hot and regularly check whether there is enough crockery etc. is available. Dinner was disappointing. Overall a pleasant experience. Was very quiet and a bit lonely.
Place was very neat and clean. Very quiet area. About 2 km from the beach. Safe environment. Friendly staff. Food excellent.
The staff was very good, very friendly and helpful. The stay was not so good. The luxury room was definitely not worth the money we paid for. The room was smelly, no two-point plugs, only decaf coffee available, and seemed more like lower than an average room. The games room was in a terrible state. Could only use the pool table.
We expected more. There is nothing to do at The Dunes, especially if you have children.
