The Fairway Guesthouse's owner received us kindly and informed us. The accommodation is out of the hustle and bustle in a quiet neighborhood with space and gardens. We had a great stay!
We were so kindly welcomed by Esme, and immediately felt at home. Our spot was 'Hole in One' and was beautifully equipped with a special bottle of OBS to warm us up before we climbed into the cozy bed. We will definitely book with The Fairway guest house again on a next occasion.

We arrived in the rain during a thunderstorm. Power cut off sporadically. Umbrellas and battery lights provided. I think the water in the plastic bottle was drawn from the tap; it tasted brackish.

Our little group that travels through the country on motorbikes from time to time spent the night at Esme in Senekal on our last night on the way back to Gauteng after a visit to the Karoo. She and her staff went out of their way to arrange our request to have a barbecue there and provide everything as well. The rooms are very comfortable, neat, clean and well equipped and we were treated like kings and enjoyed our stay there very much and will definitely spend the night there again.

Me, my lawyer and my advocate stayed at The Fairview Guesthouse for 2 days. The owner, Esmé, was extremely helpful and friendly from the start. It is people like her who make the Free State a nice place for people to visit, and with The Fairview Guesthouse and her bubbly hospitality, she succeeds 100% in that. The accommodation is luxurious, the rooms are large, the beds are very comfortable and warmly furnished for the cold nights and in the morning the breakfast is excellent. If one drives through there often, or visits Senekal, it will definitely become your home away from home. The location away from the N5 highway also makes it quiet and peaceful and you get a nice rural feeling with old school charm. I highly recommend The Fairway Guesthouse to anyone. Absolutely excellent and unexpected to find such a cute place in the heart of the Free State. Thank you very much for all your effort and for making our stay so special. This gem in the small town of Senekal exceeded all our expectations. Our room was extremely comfortably furnished and laid out with a view of the beautiful garden and golf course. The linen, decor, coffee station and detail in the room testify to a tasteful sensibility and a hostess who personally attends to her guests' needs. Breakfast was incredibly tasty and I can definitely recommend this option. We really relaxed and felt at home. The Fairway will definitely see us again!
