Special thank you to Angus for being so helpful, showing us the ropes and for being there when we needed. I will recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Hekpoort.
We had a great stay at The Farm House. Friendly service and the friendly animals.
Recommended for anyone who needs accommodation in the area and for a break and holiday.
Angus was very helpful. The village is wonderfully peaceful.
The people are extremely friendly and make you feel very comfortable. The place is located in a very beautiful area surrounded by nature. We will definitely stay there again! I would only advise people to pack a fan with them. It was terribly hot, but they don't have fans in the houses.
Clean and comfortable, perfectly adequate as overnight accommodation for someone attending a wedding in the area. Our host was friendly and helpful.
The house is private and simple but clean and tidy with all the basic amenities. Shops and restaurants are about a 30 minute drive away. You wake up to the sounds of farm animals, and beautiful big trees are everywhere on the property. The owner is very friendly and caring and likes to share his knowledge of the nature and animal life of the area. We will definitely make a visit there again.

The Farm House is the perfect gem of a venue - tucked away in the bush of Hartbeestfontein. Well, priced, extremely clean and neat. As I said, the perfect weekend getaway! Even gave us firewood in three neat piles!
Owners are very helpful. Beautiful explanation of the green farmhouse work. Will recommend that the porch gets a veranda to keep the rain out.

I would recommend the Farm House to anyone who needs a total rest or is finishing a 'paper' [study] etc. My daughter and I had fun at the Elephant Reserve, Cheetah Park and Cheese Farm. Close but not invasive. Also for a couple who would like to be alone.
