The Farmstead @ Field and Stream is a charming self-catering cottage which is the original homestead of the farm that had been renovated. Field and Stream are situated on the Field and Stream Farm just outside the small town of Dullstroom on Tonteldoos Road. The farm offers peaceful surroundings where guests can enjoy privacy and panoramic views. The farm is well-known for fly fishing and offers 2 dams, and a weir, and is 4 km from the Witpoort River on the southern end of the farm.
This cottage has a sleeping capacity of 6 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, while the second and third bedrooms are each furnished with 2 single beds. They share the use of 2 bathrooms, one fitted with a bath, and the other one fitted with a shower. Linen and towels are provided.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. There is also a dishwasher for guests’ convenience. It extends to the dining area and further extends to the lounge furnished with comfy couches and a TV. Guests are required tp bring their own DStv decoder and smart card. There is also a cosy fireplace to snuggle up to during the cold months.
The unit opens up to the covered patio with outdoor seating and braai facilities and overlooks the old orchard and the valleys and hills beyond.
Guests can also enjoy waterfalls with picnic and swimming areas, as well as beautiful walks along the streams, and the farm tracks that cross the farm which is ideal for walking and mountain biking. In addition, there are a number of recommended mountain biking routes around Dullstroom, all of which can be accessed from the farm.
At the top end of the farm, you will find the Field and Stream Clay Pigeon Shooting Range which is an ideal venue for bachelor parties, family outings or team building. The farm now also offers a Conference Centre, supporting up to 25 delegates.

Please note that there is a gravel road leading to the establishment. Guests are required to enquire about the condition of the road, before arrival, as it could be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. High clearance vehicles are recommended as Field and Stream is a farm, and is accessed on a farm dirt road.A fee of R 50.00 per dog per day will be charged.
The servicing of units is by prior arrangement.
Please note that the units on the farm do not currently have cell phone reception. There is a reception available at the entrance to the farm and at the Wingers Bush Bar and Shooting Range.
There are no credit card facilities available.
Should there be any change in the published rates, these will be communicated to you at the time of booking.
