37 guests' feedbackWe stayed in the Gate House for 3 nights and loved it. The Gate House is private with a lovely verandah to enjoy the view of the mountains and the farm animals. It got very cold, so we lit the fire to warm up. The fireplace is an excellent unit. It warmed the house and all the smoke was extracted. We have been smoked out too often when homemade fireplaces are used that hardly heat the room.
Really chilled and a great time spent to unwind. Lots to do and a great place to relax.
It is a very nice and quiet place to stay. Very good for animal lovers. The hostesses were very friendly and helpful. There is so much to do, it was a nice adventure. The rooms are large and the view is incredibly beautiful.
The accommodation was very spacious, stylish and the attention to detail was remarkable. Our 3 little ones had the time of their lives on the farm with the animals and all the cute "looks". We will definitely come again and "book out" the entire farm for the larger family. It's a shame we were only there for the weekend as there is so much to do in the area.

We had a wonderful stay, the family unit is spacious and clean, we can easily stay for a week. Great view, lots of animals which gives a farm feel. The host is amazing, friendly and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Will definitely stay there again if we are in the area.
We had a very nice stay, but there was no hot water.
There is much to see and do in the area. A visit to Destiny Castle definitely tops the list. We also really enjoyed the walk through Meiringskloof Nature Reserve to the water tunnels.

The view is one of the best! The owner and the staff really go the extra mile! You feel at home even before you are there. I was then advised to bypass Clarens as the other roads are very bad. I had the chance to help with the animals. Everything one needs is there, even wood to buy. I'm just going to visit the place in the winter, have to test the fireplace in the cold!
Only stayed overnight but would love to go for longer. The view is beautiful and the tranquility sticks to you. Hostess very friendly. Feels like home.

The location is ideal and the view breathtaking. The apartment (Top Deck) is very nicely decorated and attention has been paid to small details that make your stay so special. Margie and her team are tops!
I was taken care of by the owners to make me feel at home and make sure I had everything I needed. There is a beautiful view of the Maloti mountains and I was able to get a good, peaceful night's rest. Ideal to stay over for a weekend/week to explore the area.

Ivan welcomed us on arrival and was so helpful and accommodating. We had a great time staying in the Maluti Apartment, pool table for the boys to play and enough space for three teenagers and two adults. Each room is en-suite and very spacious. Close to Clarens and Golden Gate - the drive is just beautiful. Sitting on the stairs watching the beautiful Maluti Mountains while sipping on my morning coffee - that's what holidays are made of! We will definitely be back.

The tranquility of the farm atmosphere, the picturesque mountains, the neat unit and the kindness of our hostess made us pack up this morning with heavy hearts to go back home.
The accommodation is beautiful, spacious and stylish. Lovely views, lovely beds, comfortable bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen with a view. It's much more beautiful than the photos show and we were pleasantly surprised by the fantastic accommodation and Margie's hospitality.

It was even prettier than I envisioned, truly the ideal place for a getaway, to enjoy the peace, quiet and beautiful nature. The staff (and two dogs) made me feel welcome from the getgo and during my stay did everything possible to make it as pleasant as possible. The Chameleon room is tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished and an ideal spoil for a single traveller.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The place was a prefect getaway away from the daily rat race. Breathtaking view of the Maluti mountains and perfect for sunrise.
