24 guests' feedbackThe Fernery was honestly one of the best and most beautiful places I have ever stayed. There is a dirt road but in good condition. The reception was of 5 star quality and our wooden chalet was exceptional with a beautiful view. The hot tub between the trees was a highlight. The restaurant food was delicious, especially the exceptional breakfast. I will definitely stay here again!

The location is unbeatable. What a view! And the well-marked walking paths make it all worthwhile.

The Fernery is a hidden gem- a wonderful destination.
The dirt road into Fernery is rough, but you can drive it at crawling speed with a normal vehicle. The chalets look beautiful with a breathtaking view of the ravine, sea and waterfall. The menu was limited, but everything was top quality. The customer service was fantastic. Unfortunately, I can visit many similar destinations for less than half the price per night.

Beautiful chalets, large, comfortable, if you take a bath, you're almost outside. In the evening it's cosy. The stove and braai are also very nice. The views are phenomenal!
It was a really great getaway for an evening for me and my husband. The jacuzzi was a nice treat so on the slopes in the woods. Would definitely recommend!
Had a lovely time at the Fernery. Worth every cent. We enjoyed new year's eve there with a braai. It was top class! Only one thing we could complain about is the flies in the chalet - when we wanted to have an afternoon snooze they were too terrible. We killed about 15 but there were far more. Even though one sprayed the Doom provided it's not ideal for the environment. An idea I suggested at reception when we booked out is that they get mosquito nets above the beds - for the flies! Other than that it was perfect and we will certainly be going back.
It was a lovely visit. My highlight was my starter of cucumber, papaya and prawns, incredibly delicious. I had to hide my plate so my love wouldn't steal everything. We both really enjoyed it. Would go back anytime. Good rest and peace for the soul.

We enjoyed it very much. Very quiet and peaceful and private at the resort. Any nature lover's dream. The dinner was not fantastic.
Exceptional stay! Enjoyed eating and hanging out. Would love to experience this in the summer as it was bitterly cold! Would suggest a TV in the chalets, when it was as cold as last weekend you don't feel like going out for rugby etc. not. We really enjoyed it.
Particularly beautiful environment! Luxurious, private and peaceful. Best to go in a group. Dirt road to the lodge. Will definitely stay there again!
My wife and I had a great time relaxing on the sofa on the porch and now we still long for that view. We only saw the floor heating on the last night, maybe the facilities in the room can be shown to the guests. The picnic was wonderful. If we could we would go again, the cell phone and no WiFi was something to get used to.
