Was a very nice place and very friendly town. The tranquility did us good.
The host was welcoming and we found everything we needed in the cottage. The beds were warm and the electric blanket was wonderful. Of all the places we have stayed, this had the best quality mattress by far; well done. The shower had instant hot water - fantastic. The cottage is rustic and we enjoyed the indoor fireplace. Sometimes it's the small details that make the difference. Good luck to the hosts.

We felt so welcome. Anel was amazing - she ensured we were comfortable for the night's stay. The cottage is big and could easily accommodate a family. It was well maintained and clean, and the fireplace was just what we needed to warm up. The pool table was a bonus, and my hubby and I found out just how rusty we were - lol.

We, my sister and I, arrived after dark and immediately felt at home because our hostess's helpfulness in finding the place to stay and setting us up. It is located in a quiet area and we were able to sleep warm on the cold night with enough blankets and electric blankets too. The apartment is large with 2 separate rooms and bathrooms and is comfortably furnished. The kitchenette is well equipped with what is needed for a light dinner and breakfast.
Had a great time, host met me personally. Will stay longer next time.

Relaxed overnight stay in Swellendam in the quiet accommodation. Whilst we were only two, the accommodation is well suited for two couples or a family of 4-5. The accommodation is well-equipped and even has a small snooker table. Very comfortable and pleasant stay.

We stayed one night and can't complain about anything except that the one shower was clogged. Mentioned it to the owner the next morning.
Plekkie has everything needed for a night's stay BUT there was a smell of smoke from previous guests in the place. We didn't check in until 4 o'clock in the afternoon. If the house's windows and doors had been properly left open from 10:00 a.m. when previous guests left, there would have been drafts of air and much less smell of smoke. There are burglar bars in front of all the windows which made this possible. It has not been done. On our arrival, doors and windows were all closed. We don't smoke and found it awful.
The cottage was clean and comfortable, and the host was brilliant and very accommodating.

My husband and I were in Swellendam for a wedding. We stayed two nights and the place is so nice and private. We spent nice lazy days in front of the fireplace while the storm rained outside. There was more than enough wood at no cost. The full DSTV and WiFi was a bonus. Everything was very neat and there was everything needed for a nice visit. We were kindly received.

A lot of dust and cobwebs. Looked as if it has not been cleaned in a long time. Some dishes were dirty, bathroom mats were full of dirt and lots of hair left in basin. Toilets also very dirty. Would not recommend and thankfully we were only there for one night.
Anel immediately made us feel at home and we were able to visit comfortably for 4 days. There is WiFi, DStv, a pool table and a comfortable braai and outdoor seating area. Car could also park safely behind the gate.

A great stay in a very special little town.
We attended a cycling event on a very cold winter weekend. Being out in the cold and rain for most of the day, it was a huge treat to come back to a comfy bed with an electric blanket. The cottage was well equipped for the two of us. Even though the cottage is on the outskirts of town and you can hear chickens and roosters. It is also close enough to restaurants and entertainment in town. The friendly host supplied us with tea, coffee, and milk which was very welcome upon our arrival.

Very quiet environment with nice view of the mountain, very clean and tidy place with lovely hot water, clean linen and towels and very helpful hostess, secure parking for vehicle, complete self-catering unit with everything you could need, lovely garden to hang out in to relax, lovely facilities with WiFi and large TV, very nice braai area. All I would recommend is a loose fan because I get hot easily.

We had a wonderful stay in the well-equipped Garden Cottage. For those who enjoy playing pool and darts while having a braai, this is the ideal spot. We just would have liked soap in every shower. Fortunately, we had our own. The beds are comfortable and Anel made sure we had enough blankets for the cold evenings. There is no storage or hanging space in the second bedroom and the bathroom is also tiny, but you don't need anything more.

We had a very nice stay. The place is easy to find. There is secure parking. The place is spacious and well appointed. We had some adventure with a stove that kept kicking the power off even when everything else in the unit was off. There is a delicious barbecue area and chickens that come to greet you early in the morning. Be careful, the curtains are transparent. You might put on a show for someone. We had a wonderful stay even if it was only one night.
