We will definitely visit again, it's so neat, clean and beautiful. My husband and I really enjoyed it, we were welcomed with open arms, and we immediately felt at home. The kindness itself, and received us kindly, even though we arrived very late, because we drove from Upington. We highly recommend this place, and if my husband and I come alone to Durbanville again we will stay here.

The decor of The Garden Cottage is exceptional. The unit is very well equipped with everything needed, plus little extra details that made our stay so comfortable. I can really recommend The Garden Cottage. Durbanville is also very centrally located to visit all the surrounding wine farms and towns, with good restaurants and shops in the area.

It is clear that this guest suite is Annemarie's pride and joy. Everything is stylish, of the highest quality and she has catered for every possible need of her guests. We had a wonderful stay!
Everything was perfect. Only small thing is that in winter the bathroom is freezing cold. The room and facilities are beautiful and there is much more than you expect. Great!

Our stay at The Garden Gottage was a wonderful experience. Home away from home. From the moment we stopped there we felt welcome. "The Garden Cottage" is located in a beautiful quiet area with tree-rich garden and the "Cottage" is equipped with so much taste and style, love and care. From the smallest detail, needed nothing that wasn't there. Clean, tidy and very comfortable. Quiet environment where you can sit in the garden and drink coffee and hear no traffic regardless of the fact that the shopping center and eateries are just down the street. Thank you very much, we will certainly visit The Garden Cottage again and can highly recommend the property.

The Garden Cottage is a private cottage with everything you need. The decor is tasteful, and there is a lovely garden where you can barbecue and watch the squirrels, beautiful! Annemarie and Andre are super hospitable.

The Garden Cottage is a Durbanville must-stay. My husband and I were welcomed with open arms and received excellent service from the owner during our stay. The Garden Cottage overlooks a large, beautiful green lawn and garden. What a "gem". The unit is private and cozy with a king size bed that made us feel like we were sleeping on clouds. The large TV is equipped with all channels as well as Netflix. There is a fireplace heater for the biting cold as well as a cooling system for the hot days. The kitchen is equipped with everything one needs for self-catering. There is a lovely, large bath and fantastic shower. One of my top places to visit ever. A home away from home. An unbeatable experience!
If I could give 6 stars, I would. The owners went out of their way to make one's stay pleasant. The finishes are luxurious. The place is clean and tidy. Quality bedding. The room has everything you can think of. Some of the big stuff like a dishwasher, oven, aircon, bath, WiFi etc. down to the smallest detail like a sewing kit in the closet. No effort is too much and you are even spoiled with extras such as fruit, a 2L milk and a container of hot chocolate.

The Garden Cottage is located in a very peaceful, beautiful environment. If the Cape offers its rain and wind it is warm and cuddly, if the Cape offers its sunshine, the garden and cheerful furniture are a delight. The kitchen is very well equipped for the visitor who does not feel like going out. The Garden Cottage is full of that extra pampering that Annemarie puts in to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. It's very neat and tasteful.

It's never fun when you go to places and you wonder whether any bugs are going to climb out anywhere or you need basic things because the places are so poorly equipped. Here it is the opposite. Feel at home, everything is neat and clean and the place is fully equipped with quality furniture, linen and accessories, as one would expect at your home. We really did need anything else and regret that we were out all the time and could not have spent more time at the house. The kids were enjoying the hummingbirds and the garden terribly as we ate breakfast outside under the tree.
I felt surrounded by care and love in this home. The hosts spared no expense to make us feel at home. Lovely soft blankies and throws. French style with a touch of Cape. Serene garden with beautiful birds. I stayed with my husband and 22 year old son. He enjoyed the loft tremendously. Centrally located in the Durbanville wine route. A real gem. Don't go to Stellenbosch, try the winelands in Durbanville. You will be so surprised! Thank you to our friendly hosts. We will be back. God bless!
We were tired after 3 weeks of driving around and visiting friends and family in South Africa. Ideal resting place and piece of Eden to rest before our 34 hour journey back to Toronto. Thank you very much!
We travel a lot - also abroad - and The Garden Cottage really was one of the most comfortable and beautiful apartments we have ever stayed in. Firstly, communication and arrangements with André and Annemarie were very easy and they are great hosts who go out of their way to make you comfortable. The house is perfectly equipped, painfully clean and tidy with particular emphasis on detail and comfort. We really liked the beautiful garden and garden furniture and had a wonderful time relaxing on the veranda. The apartment is secluded and private and located close to shops and main roads. We can really recommend this place to stay and will definitely stay there again if we come to the Cape.

The clean lovely soft bedding, the beautifully maintained cottage and garden clearly show a loving hand and one can't help but immerse and dizzy in the birdsong early in the morning and the blissful feeling of warmth and care that floods the whole place. Would love to hide there for 3 months, or as the young people say these days ─ they "take a gap year".

We were so blessed to be able to rent The Garden Cottage for one night! A fantastically well furnished, peaceful atmosphere and 2 hospitable owners, Annemarie and Andre who spoiled us from arrival to departure. Thanks you guys! The garden is laid out so beautifully and so green and colourful that we as a family had such a nice little personal photo booth! We didn't notice the noisy traffic, but could listen to all the birds who became our friends in the beautiful garden where our grandsons could play. Thanks again! The farm people now know where to go when the opportunity arises. The hospital and prompt door to door food delivery service closeby was a big plus.
