26 guests' feedbackIt was a beautiful venue, however I feel that the communication was poor. I was not informed of breakfast being served, where, or when, and only found out upon check out when they tried to put some of the leftovers together upon hearing I had not had breakfast. They initially put me in a standard room, while I had paid for a deluxe room. They eventually moved me (way after check-in) when I mentioned it to the receptionist. The images on the website did not match the rooms they put me in. There wasn't even a window in the first room. The "deluxe room" they put me in had electrical issues, which I mentioned to the concierge who assisted me with my bags. The bulbs were flickering, and they said they would get an electrician, but nobody ever came to fix the issue. There were no plug points by the kettle, so I had to plug it in on the floor by my bedside table. There is no mirror with an electrical point. I had to take the mirror off the bathroom wall to use it on the bed in order to do my hair. The place was beautiful, but with these inconveniences, I was not pleased with what I paid.
Second time we stayed here. Just live the place. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Attended a wedding at The Garden Venue and I must say I was impressed.
Maybe because of covid just put a small fridge and cutlery in rooms.

No one contacted us to assist us when we arrived. They don't answer phones when we couldn't get in the property, we stood outside the gate for 30 minutes before they eventually opened up. Rooms were uncomfortable, they renovating without thinking of the guests staying there, it's loud, nothing seems to work properly. Only when you oy complain do they do something. WILL NOT ADVICE ANYONE TO STAY HERE. Very unpleasant!!!!!!
Lovely stay with beautiful gardens. Although there was a wedding, one did not hear any noise. Breakfast was delicious and overall service very good.

I lived there for 3 nights. Each morning's breakfast was tasty and the place is clean. I would have liked a table in my room, as well as a small fridge.
The place was absolutely beautiful. I'm definitely coming back to host my wedding there.
Everything was great at the hotel regarding customer service. We were not very happy with the fact that there was no door for the toilet. Furthermore, we were very well received.
Upon arrival with my 12 year old son, we noticed a lot of parties going on at the venue. The receptionist assured us that it would be finished by 22:00 as per Hotel policy. At 03:00 am I desperately tried to phone management to come and help with all the noise. No one answered the phone. Taxis with very loud people. People screaming and shouting. In the morning when we arrived for breakfast at 07:00 as was told to us upon arrival we were sent away to our room because of a function in the dining area. We received the most terrible breakfast and had to eat on our beds. Will definitely not return to this place. There were other residents also very unhappy and did not even want the terrible breakfast.
We went to see a show in the Ticketpro Dome and spent the night at The Garden Venue Boutique Hotel. Staying there made our overnight trip from Bloemfontein that much more special and memorable. The Dome is less than 4 km from The Garden Venue and very accessible, making it ideal for accommodation when going to see shows there. The staff throughout the bank were professional and very friendly. Rooms and gardens were beautifully neat and the breakfast was top notch. Thank you very much for a wonderful experience!
Hotel manageress Jene is awesome. The staff of the restaurant are so friendly. Chef is the best, delicious breakfast. The rest of the staff, from security and gardening are very friendly. It was my second time there and I will go back again.

From the security, hostess, cleaners to the waiters were professional, helpful and friendly. Even though they were catering to 5 functions, they still went out of their way to make us feel welcome and attend to all our needs. There were even extra blankets on each bed when we returned from the mall. Would definitely go again.
Very friendly lady who welcomed us, the owner was just very unfit and believes that if he wants to have a business in the industry he should at least be able to welcome someone kindly. Rooms beautiful, maybe just an extra blanket in winter would have been nice. Breakfast was off the books. Maybe more directions to where what is. Overall very nice. We own a hotel ourselves and understand the hard work that goes into this. As mentioned, the owner may just not keep customers away by his first impressions.
The reception we got was marvellous, the friendly staff, I must say Sam was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay, except that it was very cold. Those panel heaters don't warm the rooms.

The cleaning was my biggest issue. I could have overlooked the DStv not working but the toilet was extremely dirty and the floor was not wiped properly. Their establishment has the potential to be wonderful if they monitor the cleaners or hire new ones.
There was a wedding booked so we had no option to sit in the bar or outside and have a drink. We weren't informed of this. Cables for lights were damaged and open. The kettle had to be plugged in on the floor as there was no outlet. Bedside tables had lamps but nowhere to plug them in as there was no outlet. Only 1 chair for the TV as the TV could not turn and could only be watched from that 1 chair.
When we arrived, there was nobody at reception. The bathroom was not very clean, lots of dust, toilet roll holder was broken and no extra roll of toilet paper, no hair dryer. There were holes in the wall and at the entrance the wire casing was exposed and the plugs in that area did not work. The breakfast was terrible. The toaster was broken, only two slices of toast could be made and it was very slow, cheese set out was hard, bain-marie was insufficient as the cooked tomato was cold. The scrambled eggs were dry - nobody there to give us an option of having poached or fried eggs. Service was seriously lacking. Cannot recommend this venue to anyone.
Not at all what we expected but close to the Pro Ticket Dome. On weekends they have wedding and you will definitely not have a restful night's sleep. Place was dirty, bathroom's ceiling had mould. Would not recommend it to any friends or family.
