Everything you need is there. Slept well and could sit outside away from it all.
Located near everything, safe and tidy.
Had a great sleep, had a nice coffee on the stoep and experienced the most beautiful birds. Liz and Mike are friendly. Walking distance from sea. We definitely recommend the accommodation in Cape Agulhas which is very beautiful.

A perfect little nest a block from the sea. Ideal as a Parkrun overnight stay choice — the start is just 600m from the accommodation. Real people as host and hostess who are standing by with advice and a solution to any problem that may be bothering you. Silver clean. We arrived in a storm and the room was equipped with heating to keep us warm. There's even a kettle for an extra person you may have brought with you to the Southern tip of Africa.
Was surprised to see how neat and cozy the place is. Liz and Mike are two warm people who care about you as a guest. Even went the extra mile by helping when my husband suddenly fell ill. The garden with birds was fantastic. There was a calmness that made you completely relax. Will definitely stay with them again.
The location was clean and very well-kitted. We had everything we needed and felt welcome. The hosts were incredible, allowing us to feel safe and relaxed. They were very friendly and made great efforts to allow for our plans, giving us tips for where to go and making their braai area ready and stocked with wood for us.

Our host and wife received us kindly and spared no effort all week to make our stay pleasant. It is a lovely, private granny flat that is well equipped and spotlessly clean and tidy. The ideal base for nature lovers, bird watchers and walkers who want to explore the whole area. We hope to go home there again soon.

More beautiful than in the photos! Everything one would need is there, down to ground coffee and a plunger. The private garden with trees and many birds creates a peaceful atmosphere. Would love to stay there again.
Needed a place to stay for the NAMPO show and in the photos The Gift looked neat and homely, the reception from Liz was welcome and the room was pointed out, tidy and everything needed was in the room if I may mention one suggestion maybe the owners invest in a small inverter during power outages. Others experience no problem.

We had a very nice stay. Liz and her husband were incredibly friendly and even offered to let us have a barbecue on their porch and use their wood and blitz. We were also invited to watch the rugby! It was a very nice getaway. I would recommend the cozy place to anyone!

A delightfully enjoyable corner of a house without borders. Not a single corner without a little something that doesn't catch the eye. Quiet and peaceful with the beautiful morning and evening birdsong that greets you. The sea in one's ears and the whistling of the wind. The most beautiful feeling churches. One feels at home and peaceful, but still a holiday atmosphere. A truly unique cottage and feeling of joy, peace and tranquility.

I once again had a very nice stay. Liz and her husband are so friendly and helpful. The accommodation caters for everything and is as close as you want to walk down to the rocks. The fact that I didn't struggle with the WiFi once all weekend, and a nice size fridge is definitely a plus as well. There aren't many TV channels, but that didn't bother me at all because I don't usually watch TV when I'm at the sea.
The hosts went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

A nice quiet street close to everything we wanted to see and do. We were impressed with all that Cape Agulhas has to offer. Would love to go back again to visit the museum at the sky tower. It was due to Covid-19 not yet open to the public when we were there. When we go back we would love to stay at The Gift again.
The Gift is fully equipped for 2 people with a.o. all the necessary kitchenware, sink, cutlery, good mattress on the bed, lovely shower, lovely little garden and happy birds. The Gift does not face the sea, but is very close. We walked from there to Agulhas' lighthouse and also the southern tip of Africa a little further on a beautiful boardwalk. The Gift is a lovely place that people who love walking (or cycling) can easily use as a base to explore the surroundings. Struisbaai is also just around the corner from there. This place can be recommended with great confidence!

Place is nicely set up for a quick getaway. Close to the sea without being exposed to the busy main road. Wifi is also available.

Mike and Liz made us feel at home from the start. Liz was worried about our long visit (17 days) for nothing. With Covid restrictions, they gave alternative suggestions for pastimes away from the beaches. The birds in the garden were awesome. Would definitely recommend The Gift.

There is no secure parking. Wifi is of zero and no value. I couldn't work at all. The hostess's husband is bombastic. Transferred R900 from Capitec to Standard bank. The night when we came back from eating out and stopped on the sidewalk because there is no off street parking, he opened his front door and the first words were - have you paid yet. The room has a door into the main house. It feels like you have no privacy. Wasted 2 days and would not recommend them.

It was a great experience, Mike and Liz went out of their way to help. The networks were down for the card machines and atms and they even offered to lend me cash. They are really amazing people, felt very at home.
What a cosy, "puppy" place! Silver clean, with the finest attention to detail. We had a wonderful stay, the hostess, Liz, welcomed us very kindly. After the 2nd cup of coffee in the beautiful private garden the next morning I had to tear myself away properly to get going. The birds were noticeably tame and were eating and chirping right here close to us. Yes I would recommend it a thousand times!

The hot water shower faucet did not work after we wanted to shower at 11:00 in the evening after a whole day's travel. Had to open and close the faucet with pliers all weekend. The DStv did not work. The owner didn't even make sure everything was in order before we arrived. We were not very impressed with it and it was the worst overnight choice we have ever made.
Owner Liz and her husband immediately made us feel welcome! House is beautiful, comfortable, neat and central. We had a great time and will definitely book again in the future and recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation where you immediately feel at home!

Mike and Liz are two wonderful hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very helpful. We use LekkeSlaap a lot and it's one of the best destinations we've stayed at to date.
Felt like home. We felt at home and relaxed immediately. No matter the wind, the little garden is sheltered and comfortable. No sea view, but you could hear the whisper of the sea. Wonderful! The Gift is not just the name of the cottage, Mike and Liz have "the gift" to make people feel at home. They are knowledgeable about the area and very helpful. We will difinitetly call again.

An indoor braai would certainly have come in handy during the stormy weather. There are full facilities outside for when the weather is better.
