I immediately felt at home! This little place is warm and homely, equipped with everything needed. The environment is quiet and peaceful, and another advantage is that it is walking distance from the beach. I won't have to think hard about where to book when I go to Strand again.

It was a breathtaking time. Quiet and safe. We fell in love with the place.
We didn't get there until 21h00. Hostess communicated with me all the time about access to the guest house. Very impressed with the place for 3. Everything you need for an overnight stay or even a weekend is there. Slept very well.

After a very unpleasant experience at another lodging, Green Gecko's owner welcomed us within an hour. Everything was clean and tidy with bits of detail (like that beautiful sliding door!) that truly make it feel like home. This place is also very thoughtfully designed. There is everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and even a decent hair dryer. Would stay there again anytime.

I can recommend The Green Gecko 100%. It's beautifully equipped and you and all your belongings are behind a garage door and no one knows about you, it's so safe. Two adults and a child can stay there comfortably, they have thought of everything you could possibly need. I will definitely book there again if I have to go to Somerset West.
It's just safer and with curfew that makes it difficult, if you have to visit far, it's ideal to spend the night at such a neat and safe place.

Green Gecko is a nice place, nice and safe and looks like you can have a good barbecue there. Unfortunately I didn't spend much time there because I had a dinner that evening, but the little time we spent there was awesome.
