The Bus is an upscale tiny home, that is a cool and funky space. It can accommodate 3 guests, and is built within the body of an old cross country truck. It contains a double bed with views over the garden edging the river. Built onto the truck is a living room that opens into a well-equipped kitchen, and beyond the kitchen is a spacious shower room with a toilet.
The living area contains a big, comfortable leather couch, perfect for a plus one or a child. Bedding is provided for the couch that offers a super sleep. The kitchen is equipped with a gas oven, microwave fridge-freezer, as well as the basic utensils needed for food preparation. This space has a small breakfast counter for sit down meals. Step out onto the deck and find yourself among the trees with a view to the ocean.
Guests have access to an adjacent braai area that overlooks the lawn, great for games and ample space for dogs to romp. Here you will find the private gate providing direct access to the beach. Braai wood and ice are available for purchase. Secure parking and on-site security is provided.
The unit entrance is from the main residential area, with space for your car to park right outside.
The owner and manager stay on-site along with a few dogs of varying sizes, a couple of cats, ducks and chickens. The Hideout is pet friendly and the resident dogs love to make new friends.
Breakfasts can be provided on advance request, and your hosts can do a breakfast of eggs, bacon, Jungle Oats, a muesli, yogurt and fruit alternative.
Although The Hideout is peaceful, it is centrally located, within walking distance to the village's bars and eating establishments for festivities and events. Atm's and stores are located 17 km away so make sure to stock up on supplies before arriving, though some basic food supplies are available in Coffee Bay as well as some decent restaurants. The beach is 200 m walk along the river bank.

4 guests' feedbackBest vacation ever.
We wanted a quiet and peaceful holiday and we definitely got it. Linda was very friendly and hospitable. All we really missed was a grill for the barbecue, so we just cooked on the gas stove every night. Can't wait to visit again in a few years. Would like to see what changes are made.
They help with directions and where to purchase supplies. Although luxury is not the order of the day in Coffee Bay, it is a small price to pay for the incredible natural beauty you experience during your stay in Coffee Bay, an experience indeed!
The location and the premises are less than desirable (untidy yard, dilapidated outbuildings). The accommodation was comfortable although extremely "rustic". The sleeping area is very cramped but lends itself to having an "alternative" experience. The hostess was friendly and accommodating.
