26 guests' feedbackWe stayed for 3 nights to tour the Midlands and to visit Hilton where the children were on activities. The resort is wonderful and while the dirt roads can be muddy, the distance means it's quiet and you get a chance to see some of the wild animals (Duiker, Owls, Scrub hare etc). The breakfasts are a real treat. I would stay there again if in the area.

Nice place, we were there for 2 nights, paid quite a lot per night, we didn't have breakfast but we were out in the morning and just supported them for breakfast, no service and when we asked if we could have breakfast the woman looked at us funny out and said she'll find out, we said leave but we'll go eat in town, furthermore they didn't clean the room, only made the bed, we had to use our wet towels and the plates that were used weren't washed not and just left. Our milk and coffee in the room were not refilled and we then did not have milk or coffee again, otherwise as I say very nice, but the walkway to the cars cannot be used, because there is a bush that the walkway overgrown and the path's grass is long. We had to walk around through the mud because it was raining, I think just for what we got is worth R900 a night and not R1700 a night.
Really enjoyed our stay. Quiet and peaceful with a very nice view. Even goats that walked past our porch at night. Will definitely come back again.

We booked 2 Deluxe rooms. Very good value for what you pay. The lodge is very quiet and peaceful which is a big plus. We had everything we needed in the unit that we needed. Big plus for the "block out" curtains and DStv. Beautiful view from our room. All criticism I have is the beauty of the unit when we arrived. Our microwave was very dirty from food from previous guests and our shower's wall tiles were not clean (still had soap from previous guests). The unit also needs a duster behind the bed, and on the hanging lights. The cleaners came the next day to tidy up both of our units by washing dishes and making the bed, which very few guesthouses/lodges do. For this I give a 10/10 for service. The check-in and check-out was also very easy and convenient. I would recommend the lodge and Deluxe rooms for a weekend stay.
The accommodation is very neat with the most beautiful view over a valley with a waterfall. Lovely area for bird watchers! The staff is friendly and we felt at home. Delicious breakfast useful. Good value for money!

Beautifully located in Hilton, surrounded by a breathtaking view. Along with friendly service. My then 8 month old baby girl, took a real liking to Nancy and Gavin was on the ball. The accommodation was larger than expected - proper value for money. We will definitely be back in the not to distant future.
Excellent place to relax one's mind. I was lucky to get a room with a beautiful view of the falls.
The lodge is reached by a bad dirt road. There were no braai facilities available. The lodge could do with attention to detail. There are no lights on the premises, we were scared when we had to go into town to eat out in the evening.
