The House of Green and Blue has 3 self-catering units all situated on the bottom floor of our property in the sea side Cove Rock Country Estate in East London.
Nestled behind the Cove Rock Conservancy which has splendid bush and sea views and is a 400m walk to the beach. The Estate has a mashie golf course, communal swimming pool and a tennis court.
We are situated about 7 minutes from the East London airport and 15 minutes from the centre of town.
There are resident Fish Eagles, duiker, mongoose, buchbuck, Grey Heron, Helmeted Guinea Fowl, Knysna Turaco(Lourie), African Black Oyster Catcher and the Spotted Thick knee (Dikkop) to name just a few of the wild life residing in our estate and shore.
In whale season we have the Humpback whales, Southern Right whale, Bottlenose dolphin and the occasional Killer whale. They can be spotted often feeding with the gannets out at sea.
The 3 separate entrance units have open plan kitchen/lounge areas and bathrooms. The Sea view studio (Type A) has a good view of sea with breakers. This unit has a queen-sized bed and a single bed in the lounge area. The unit has a walk in cupboard and the bathroom has a bath and shower. This unit has Premier DSTV included in the price. The 2 bedroom unit (Type B) has a queen-sized bed in the one room and 2 single beds in the second bedroom. The smaller studio unit (Type C) has either 2 single beds or a king-sized bed. Both the studio and the 2 bedroom units have Premier DSTV included in the price. The two bedroom and the sea view units have a washing machine.

The location and view from the front apartment is great. We really enjoyed the sea and nice walk. Thank you for an unforgettable holiday!
The scenery is just perfect if you want to get away from the buzz and hustle of it all.
Got more than we expected. Practical apartment which was cleaned often.
The House of Green and Blue offers a beautiful suite for a weekend or holiday! The view from the suite is superb! The beach and dunes are clean, beautiful and unspoilt! Highly recommended! We plan to visit the House of Green and Blue again in future!
Very safe and nice and close to the beach. Perfect for a getaway for a couple.
We enjoyed our vacation there. The rooms are well appointed but need attention. The kitchen equipment is very outdated and could have been cleaner. All necessary crockery and cutlery were available, but also not in good condition. Parking was inadequate and unclear. The private beach was the highlight of our stay and therefore the reason I would recommend them. The wild animals were very pleasant and created a peaceful atmosphere that even our 6 year old enjoyed. Overall, our stay was very pleasant, but the place really needs love and attention.
I had a lovely stay and the service was outstanding. Would definitely recommend it and stay there again.
Basic accommodation, just needs to be given some "love and attention" to get it in top notch again.
It's a very neat place but unfortunately didn't meet our requirements. Too far out of town, mission to get in and out of the complex, access to the unit is not convenient on a steep slope. Poky bathroom, noise levels from upstairs kids running around can be heard clearly.
I will stay there again.
