In my opinion, it is a touch expensive when comparing it to other self-catering places around that area of the North Coast.
A spacious unit with amazing views. In need of TLC, but what you see is what you get. Collection and dropping the key was very convenient and Christine from Prop247 was very helpful. Only complaint is that the cleaners were absent on Saturday and we had to clean the main bedroom windows to enjoy the view.
Everything was just nice. Would definitely recommend The Island 2 to anyone. The Island 2 was even better than the pictures on Lekker Slaap.
Was definitely worth the money. Can't complain about anything, everything was perfect.

The unit needs an upgrade of furniture and decor.
The apartment and Weber needs a bit of TLC, it's showing its age, but we enjoyed our stay. Collecting and dropping the key was effortless and convenient. Upon arrival we had no power, it was sorted by the property manager within a couple of hours. Great views. Just a tip, if you're planning on sharing (two small families), take additional coolers, the fridge is a tad small for 2 families, but that's nit picking. Enjoyed it!
Otherwise, the North Coast has beautiful accommodations.

It's a beautiful apartment with a fantastic view! However, small things that suffer from the sea and salt need a little maintenance. However, the cleaning service was not that great. We were four ladies and therefore didn't really mess up, but the floors weren't swept or washed on Saturday morning.
No black bags for trash. We didn't have towels on Friday night and Saturday morning. Cleaners only unlocked cupboards on Saturday morning to take out towels. Not all the bedside lamps work, as well as some of the headlights. Some of the furniture needs TLC. Every time we struggled to get doors to the porch open because poor maintenance. Drawer in kitchen front panel is down. We were 6 adults and there were only 5 plates and a small plastic bowl. Very nice view of the sea.
Apartment located in a nice location - pity that apartment is not well maintained. The apartment is located in the perfect location. The owner should find another agency to look after his/her apartment. The agency really let us down. The apartment was not ready on arrival - the agency just shrugged. We had to wait more than an hour before we could unpack. Linens did not match the beds, pillows were dirty and were given to the cleaner to throw away. The cleaner is not trained to clean at all and does not have the right cleaning products to do her job. There were many problems such as a broken shower door, stove, headboards falling off and others that were partially fixed only after 2 days. The inventory list was totally incomplete and was so mentioned to the agency. However, thanks to the website that tried hard to solve the problem.
I think the apartment #2 is in need of a renovation / upgraded electricity points and possibly a better outside entrance.
One toilet wasn't working, all doors were rusted and a lot of damp walls.

It is clean, tidy, peaceful and very beautiful. The apartment overlooks the sea which makes it that much more enjoyable. It is very close to the sea and the shops. The people who live in the apartment complex are very friendly and like to chat. The price is really very good and will definitely go there again!
Island 2 needs some TLC, stove needs replacing, rusted and falling out of mounting cabinet, dishwasher rusted on door, furniture not clean, living room and two yellow chairs need some carpet shampoo! There should be a decoder as part of the housing unit. Nice Weber gas grill, short service, the burners only let a quarter of the gas through on the grill. We were just two people, it didn't bother us much, a bigger family might have complained! We had a great time!
We arrived in Ballito just before four o'clock on Monday. Karin from Chad communicated with us regularly to hear how our trip was progressing. Karin is truly an asset to that company. The place to stay was stunning, although the TV and dishwasher were not working on arrival, Karin did make sure we were provided with a new TV set the next day. The dishwasher was not working until we left, but Karin made sure that the cleaner washed our dishes every day. I would recommend that the owner consider having an air con installed in the future. I would also recommend that they look into making the outside chairs and table more comfortable, so that one can appreciate the beautiful sea view for longer. We will definitely use that place again as there are few places in the country that are dog friendly.
Good mattresses, clean, white bedding and a great sea view. Have breakfast with your sunglasses on the stoep and grill a chop on the gas grill. I recommend it to people who love to hear the sea roaring in their ears all the time.
This was our second time booking at the Islands 2. The service is very professional and friendly. You are made to feel at home. The unit itself is very spacious and well taken care off and the views are spectacular, as it overlooks the warm Indian Ocean! Thank you to the team.
It is definitely our first choice if we ever want to vacation in that area again. We liked everything. The nice big porch with the breathtaking view, the nice big and spacious living room with dining room and kitchen. There is nothing we can criticize.

The unit needs an update. The furniture and linen are looking a little 'tired' and there were a few problems with leaking taps and toilets etc.
It is a very nice and comfortable unit with everything you need. Easy walking-distance from the beaches.
Kitchen is well equipped, comfortable living and sleeping areas, breathtaking view.

We had a lovely stay but we have a few suggestions: Better signal, WiFi-access, reparation of broken facilities e.g. air-con, windows that can't open, rusty locks, etc. and cleaning services at least once a month for a thorough clean. Also have a look at the big sliding gate that doesn't work properly.
We had a good time and the service was good.
We had a nice stay with children in the house. The living area is very nice and spacious. Our complaints were unfortunately more than one: The glasses were not sufficient, with only oversized soda glasses and no tall and beer glasses. There are no plugs in the bathroom sinks, which was an annoyance and doesn't take into account water conservation at all (but the notices for water conservation are posted everywhere). The second room had no bedside lamp. There are no power points at the mirrors (or there are no mirrors at the power points). The cleaners did not move the beds away from the wall when cleaning before we went in as we found dirty socks and coins under one bed when we moved them against each other. The DSTV is not suitable for PVR/Explora decoders. We should have gone and bought a weaker one. It would do the place a lot of good to install DSTV permanently. Fortunately the lady at Chas Everitt was very kind to provide us with their decoder at no cost. We had a great stay, thank you very much.
The fans is not working properly. I cleaned the place on a daily basis - no clearing services was needed. No plastic cups/plates available for small kids. The pots and pans are not in a very good state. Going forward I will not recommend staying at this place - stayed at number 12 before and that was absolutely better value for money. The plastic chairs on the veranda is always in the sun which means that 1 chair broke during our visit - my husband sat on the chair and it collapsed - he only weighs 72 kg. My 14 year old son cut his foot on 3 places in your swimming pool so I would suggest that you have a look at this.
The inside needs some work. The basin in the kitchen is not up to standard. The main bedroom's shower door is not in working condition.
