Decor is eclectic and stylish. So many extras that make you feel like you're being spoiled. The log cabin, with plenty of wood, is heavenly on a cold Karoo evening. Thank you for another wonderful visit.
It's a beautiful old place, the unit was neat and clean and had everything we needed for a nice winter's evening in Barrydale. The room was already heated when we walked in and gave a homely feeling. The unit has a wonderful fireplace that was also well-heated with wood.

Karoo Moon must be one of the most beautiful, original, comfortable, value for money venues to frequent. Attention to detail and guest anticipation make this a must-visit to put on one's bucket list!
We had a great stay at The Karoo Moon Motel. Stayed there for one night on the way back from Willowmore to Worcester. Everything was very comfortable and it was made sure that we would not get cold at all.
The accommodation is clean and very well presented.
The Karoo Moon Motel was amazing. It is a jewel in the Karoo and Barrydale is a beautiful little town with friendly people. The rooms are very tastefully furnished and clean. It is walking distance to everything and very safe. I can highly recommend Karoo Moon Motel.

We had a very nice stay. The 2 units can be used separately, but they are connected with an inner door if one wants to use them as one residential unit.

Pros: Good location, very interesting decor, very well equipped, lovely bed, nice comfortable chairs, lovely shower. Cons: Difficult to open windows for fresh air, lack of good lighting for reading. We will stay there again. Very good value for money.

Fantasies beautiful, from the decor, to cleanliness, the location, everything is just perfect. Would definitely recommend any vacationer/traveler to stay here. A special experience! Diesel & Creme is on the same premises, delicious menu with good food.
Interesting and unique decor with excellent quality linen, bed and towels. Everything works and is in good, clean condition, with friendly, helpful host in Dean. A comfortable place that we can highly recommend. We really enjoyed our time there and will come again ourselves.
Although there is a braai and a few plates, there are no pots, bowls or washing up facilities. Then the house and cottage is a better option. Still very nice stay.

The decor of the motel is out of the books, we feast our eyes on it. Lovely beds and warm sleep. Old coal stove in living area was a bonus.

What a great experience. The Karoo Motel is not at all what you would have expected from a Motel. The decor is eclectic with many interesting focal points. We were two couples and therefore had the whole "Motel" to ourselves because there is a door that connects the "Suite" to the "Studio". The Suite has the sitting room, which has an extra single bed, wooden sofa and comfortable, Art Deco style settee. The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, microwave etc. The Studio has all the same equipment but is just smaller. The beds and bedding are of very good quality. We had a good barbecue on Friday, on a barbecue that was clean with firewood that was freely available. The best, is the owner, Dean's friendly service with the typical hospitality of his staff that is so unique to the Karoo. Thank you very much for an excellent experience.
Clean and tidy place that takes you back to a time long ago. Dean was a great host and suggested us good local restaurants. We booked Studio and I would recommend that for stays longer than 1 or 2 days, the larger units should be booked instead.
Exceeded all expectations. The stars speak for themselves, will definitely stay there again or for longer and also recommend to friends and family.

The setting is unique and different.
What a beautiful place! So much attention was paid to every detail. Each piece of art, craft, antiques, memorabilia and characterful furniture were put together with love. A real ffeast for the eye! Wonderful hot shower, quality linen for a peaceful night's rest, ice in the freezer, rusks is a jar and biodegradable products in the bathroom. And spotless as well! We will definitely be back!

We had such a nice stay there. Beautiful, clean accommodation, excellent service. Very safe. We lit a fire and barbecued the two nights we spent there. We just had to take advantage of the silence and tranquility.

The vibe, staff, decor, food and setting is fantastic. Dean was a great host, he's knowledge of the area didn't only limit us to Barrydale. We suggest that you book the entire space for yourselves. I will definitely return.

Karoo Moon Motel is comfortable, clean and a total visual feast for the eyes. Lots of lovely extra goodies in the bathroom from shampoo to bodywash, face wash, facial wipes and body lotions. A real treat. It was a wonderful experience.
Good value for money. High quality amenities and accommodation. Would not stay more than one or two nights due to the location of the place against the R62 which does not offer much privacy and security. Otherwise it is a unique place with a lot of character. Would definitely recommend it.

Lovely stay. The staff at Diesel and Creme are simply super duper! So friendly. Would'v loved a bigger kitchen zinc as bottles for tots had to be washed, no hot water in kitchen. Also, 2 of the chairs in the lounge really need some serious attention, the springs. But otherwise, we loved the visit.

We were very much looking forward to staying at The Karoo Moon Motel and thought it would be the highlight of our 'road trip', but the accommodation that cost us the most also disappointed us the most. I think the experience will be better for a group of people booking the Motel together than if you have to share certain facilities with other tourists. Our en suite hot water didn't work either, someone came out to fix it but not even a few minutes later we were left without hot water again. Encountered some cobwebs too. It's also a shame that Diesel & Creme is closed for dinner, because the other places to eat in the area are not that fantastic. Won't stay here again.
