I really enjoyed my stay at The Kingdom Resort. The staff are friendly, from the security at the gate to the receptionist and the cleaners. Every time you pass a person who works there, they greet you with a smile.
It was the best, really enjoyed myself.
Customer service was phenomenal. Delicious food and the jungle bar was wonderful to have a drink and relax.

This resort is kid-friendly and has a lot to do to keep busy. Sun City is also 5km from the resort if you want to have some more fun. The resort is well-maintained and units are clean. Staff from the gate to reception to restaurant to cleaners are all well-trained, friendly, and helpful. It's been a pleasure to see friendly staff all the time. Please consider changing the gate at the water world to the shop (sometimes we don't have our room card with us), then you can't enter the shop. It should be easy access for guests staying at the resort. We found a lot of unhappy guests at the gate during our 7-day stay because they also did not bring their room cards to open the gate.

It was absolutely amazing. The service was amazing, the staff was very friendly and helpful at all times, and the facility was something really special. The way the facility is laid out makes it really easy to meet new people and to fully immerse yourself in the outdoors. I would rate this a 10 out of 10 all day long.

The place is beautifully designed with lots for children to do. While some of the staff went out of their way, like Johanna, some were very unaccommodating and should not be working in the front of house. The bathroom tap leaked in one bathroom, and I woke up to water all over the bathroom floor. To their credit, as soon as the fault was logged, someone came to take a look and switched the water off. Housekeeping also came straight away to mop up the water. I was told that by 09:00 someone would come and fix the problem, but they did not come and only arrived in the afternoon. It took hours to fix the problem as the tap needed replacing. It was not a convenient time. The next morning, I woke up and found the bathroom floor covered in water again. This time the leak came from the other basin. I went to reception to inform them and to find out if our next chalet was ready to be checked in at 10:00 as promised, as we had decided to extend our stay. A very disinterested front of house person noted that the floor was flooded again and told me that the chalet would not be ready as promised. Only after a while did one of her colleagues interrupt to say the chalet would be ready. During the interaction, the lady who was 'helping' us was extremely rude. After checking into the new chalet, we enquired about going to Sun City and were told the shuttle went every hour but that you had to book. We then booked and were told to come back; we could just phone, and someone would fetch us. When we later phoned to be collected at Sun City, we were told we had to wait an hour as the next shuttle would only arrive then. When someone else in our party phoned, they were told the driver would come and collect us in the next few minutes as we were then speaking to someone else. I will definitely not be back.
I almost got disappointed because I booked a double bed, but I was given twin beds. However, I asked to be changed and it was done. I was happy with the help I received from the receptionist.
I would recommend The Kingdom Resort as your stay, Sun City is only a day visit experience, and the value for your money is a 5/5 when you stay at the resort. Great job to the staff!

We only stayed one night during the Easter weekend. I was very afraid of noise and disturbance from neighbors, but really couldn't complain. We could sit outside and listen to all the field sounds. Everything is functional and well thought out, still new and really spacious. The bed slept wonderfully and the kitchen was beautifully equipped with everything needed. We hope that they can maintain the standard of care in each unit, because then we will come again and again. The resort is a stone's throw from Pilanesberg, which makes it a perfect overnight stop. Happy to recommend!

Just have to plan the budget very well. Many of the activities cost extra. There was also a lot of noise from some guests.
Unit 19B's shower door is leaking. It should have been like this for a long time.
No enforcement of silence rules. Many visitors do not pay attention to noise rules. Rule is silence after 10pm. Loud music and loud talking/laughing/hanging out until 2/3 am. Seeing as New Year's Eve of the 31st we could probably tolerate it, but not the 30th and early morning of the 2nd.

We really enjoyed it, there are lots of activities and we wish we were there longer to do more of them, we didn't even need to leave the resort and stayed there all weekend. The place is very neat and the staff is friendly. We rode quad bikes and did archery as well. The food at the restaurant was very nice and their service is fast, we ate their pizzas, pasta, burgers and breakfast every day and not once were we disappointed. The rooms are also nice, neat and clean. The jungle bar is also a nice place to be and their strawberry daiquiris are the best. Their putt-putt course is cute and so is the convenience store they have there. They also have this inflatable bouncy castle thing and my husband and I behaved like children on this thing. We still wanted to go to the spa but were faint by the Sunday side and just decided to go home. It started to rain on Saturday afternoon but we sat down in the restaurant and still enjoyed it. We enjoyed it way too much and are definitely going back!

We enjoyed the break. The resort is very well maintained, neat and luxurious. The service is some of the friendliest I have ever experienced. The resort itself is more suitable for families with small/primary school children: the slides are small and the activities are more suitable for young children. So I would not recommend them for young couples or families with older children. It is indeed an ideal place to stay for travelers or Sun City visitors looking for a cheaper place to stay.
More attention could be paid to the maintenance of the chalets.
During my reservation, we specifically asked for a unit with a walk-in shower and not a unit with a shower-over-the-bath. However, we were placed in a unit with a sort-over bath. The fitted sheets over the beds were too small for the mattresses and moved up while you slept. The mattresses themselves are really in great shape. Our unit's air conditioner did turn on, but failed to heat. The unit was also very clean and tidy. There is plenty to do for the whole family in the resort and the grounds are well maintained. Children will definitely not be bored. We have stayed at the resort before without any complaints. Will visit the resort again.
Didn't like that Kingdom Resort called me while I'm on vacation to ask if I want to become a shareholder. I was on my honeymoon and my husband and I were enjoying the day at Sun City when I received the call, when we saw it was Kingdom Resort we immediately thought something was wrong. We checked out a night earlier and checked in somewhere else where we wouldn't be disturbed with such things on our holiday.
We had a really nice stay, but the restaurant's food was expensive and took a long time to be served. Even though breakfast was included in my reservation we still had to pay for it.
My stay was good but I had challenges when we slept, me and my partner, because we had 2 single beds even sheets was for a single person, we couldn’t even cuddle because sheets couldn’t accommodate both of us.
The place will be amazing with kids. Staff is friendly and very helpful.
Resort is lovely for a family stay if in the self-catering units with lots of activities for kids, other non-self-catering units are communal. Onsite restaurant's food is average, very pricy. Toasted cheese and tomato cost R70 but there is a generator for load shedding which is a big plus.
The rooms are very neat and the surroundings are peaceful. Unfortunately, the check-in process did not go smoothly. Reception asked us at 15:00 to give them 15 minutes. We came back at 3:30pm and they still weren't ready. Furthermore, the stay was very nice and we can recommend it.
Although the resorts are relatively new, there were signs of vandalism in our room. Refrigerator door has round dents like it was hit with a golf ball, plastic seal from shower door is peeled off, torn, curtain from rail pulled down on one side. "Shuttle" to Sun City confusing because one still has to make their own reservation for Sun City. This is not clearly communicated in the brochures.
Unfortunately, all activities were not available, but we were not informed about this at reception.
The unit is well equipped and we were pleasantly surprised that the unit was cleaned during the weekend, seeing that the unit was marketed as self-catering. Booking activities was a bit of a hassle. No indication was given that your accommodation card/key can be used to gain access to the Adventure office. An online platform to make reservations for the activities offered would also be easier because there was only one person to make the reservations. I trust The Kingdom Resort will reach great heights. It was a nice weekend getaway!
I would suggest for the amount of visitors you get there should be another pool that caters for adults and teenagers as well and more loungers available as well. Also at Christmas time maybe have a classic Christmas movies Christmas eve. Also had wfi issues and the jacuzzi at the bliss not working maybe this should've been sorted out knowing you will have a influx of guests.
It is the best place to rest, everything you need is at Kingdom Resort and you don't need to drive around. Their service is the best and very friendly.

I was sure we had booked a self catering unit, but when we got there we were booked into a hotel room which meant we had to eat all our meals from the restaurant which we hadn't budgeted for!
There was an oopsie and our room was double booked, but they quickly made a plan with another room, and followed up with us to make sure we had a good stay.
The night sounds in the evening when we sat outside and visited, made one appreciate the Dear Father's creation all over again.
Facilities smaller than on brochure and pool water was murky. Bath water brown and did not smell pleasant. All activities too expensive. Only swimming was not charged. Everything else you had to pay for. Liosk limited stock. Even the bottled water ran out. Meals were tasty but very expensive.
The resort is really nice but while we stayed our room was not cleaned. The cleaners went to our room as we were leaving for breakfast but never cleaned the room. Only bin was emptied and bathing supplies refilled but room not cleaned. No clean towels, no bed made. Just left it unclean. Reception staff are friendly, it is safe.
No working toilet. No working safe. Soap dish stands at 45 degrees. Mirror cabinet handle is loose. Get 1 coffee, other person has to settle for tea. Staff are not accessible. Als is trouble if something is brought to their attention. Would not recommend it at all.
I am truly disappointed. I chose this particular resort as it was advertised as being in the Pilanesberg National Park. I even took a screenshot after arriving there and realizing that it was false advertisement. It is one thing to say within the Pilanesberg area but to say you are located within the actual Pilanesberg National Park and then being 15 km from it is quite another. There was quite a few things that was upsetting, the photos was all taken at an angle to make it seem like this fantastic resort in the middle of the Bush with beautiful open spaces and stunning views, in actual fact it was quite small in comparison to the photos and definitely not as presented, the swimming pool water was so filthy and yellow that you smelled after getting out, we went to take a shower before going for dinner. Our room was clearly only superficially cleaned. But the biggest thing for me was the false advert on it's location. If I had known where it was, I would not have gone, for me the biggest attraction was that it was located within the Pilanesberg National Park. The rooms and where it was, was correctly presented, at least there I got what I expected and that part was good. They also helped me nicely when I asked for a room change, I had asked to be in a room overlooking the bush prior to arrival and was told all rooms overlook the bush, but once I got to the room we were in the back room with no view, overlooking the parking lot and other rooms. Simply not as presented and I won't go again.

The room is clean and neat. The water park offers a lot of fun and the spa was excellent!
My husband turned 60 and I had something special arranged for our room and at the restaurant. I made arrangements with Gary and everyone did a great job. I arranged a cake but we couldn't cut it as there were no knives in the room. However, this is understandable as it was not a self-catering unit, but only an overnight facility. One downside was the shower that wouldn't close - the bathroom floor was half way under water after we showered so we had to use the towels to dry the floor with.

We came to rest and to switch off from the hustle and bustle of the city. The activities for kids are great with supervision. Other attractions near The Kingdom Resort were worth a visit. The Pilanesberg National Park is a disappointment with poor amenities and rotten tar roads.
We had a very nice stay. Order the pizza, it is highly recommended.
Service was top notch and all our requests received immediate attention. The staff are friendly and helpful. The facilities were luxurious and comfortable and the spa a nice treat. The menu offered good value for money and met our needs. We think the breakfast is a bit expensive for what it offers, and especially compared to the nice meals of the a la carte menu. We slept very well and will definitely return.

The resort is very beautiful. The chalet is very nice and tidy, the restaurant's food is top notch. Very close to Sun City and the entrance to the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. Would truly recommend them and we will go there again.
Upon our arrival we were warmly welcomed and the setting was explained to us by friendly staff who knew exactly what they were talking about. They were very helpful with questions we had. The facilities available were absolutely value for money. The restaurant's food was top notch. Our visit to The Kingdom Resort will stay with us for many years. We booked three rooms for one night on our way to Sun City. I was previously not aware of the existence of the resort but enjoyed it very much. Neat, clean. Entertainment and food is great!

All I can say is: amazing amazing amazing!
I can recommend the resort but when you get rained in like we did you have to resort to going to Sun City for any activities or the other game reserves in the vicinity. My family enjoy the bush and would have preferred if the resort had a nature walk. The stay was pleasant but the restaurant menu does need more variety to cater for a longer stay, unless again you travel to Sun City which transport is provided for and which I assume a lot of travelers are doing which in turn does not warrant a bigger variety on the menu I suppose. We had a good stay, the issue with no hot water in one of the rooms occupied was resolved within 1/2 hour. The staff is friendly and courteous and most helpful.
Neat, peaceful and value for money.
I booked here because because we did the Sun City Swim. It is conveniently close to Sun City. The room was very neat and of high quality. There is a small fridge, so I recommend that you bring milk and water. If you are a coffee pot, like me, bring extra coffee too. The restaurant is very reasonably priced and we had breakfast and dinner here. Plenty of activities if you have children.
It was a very pleasant experience! We were under the impression that the room was set up for self-catering with a braai place, as we saw on the website, but unfortunately the room did not have a braai place.

Our stay was unfortunately very short and we only slept, but would definitely like to stay longer next time. I think this is the ideal place for people with small children!
Everything was fantastic! Except for the fact that they forgot about my husband and I the last night and we only got back to our room at 00:30. We waited for 2 hours and only then did they tell us that the shuttle driver forgot to pick us up after we phoned them twice. Before that, everything was great. Rooms were clean and neat and the staff were friendly and helpful.
On arrival we where very impressed with the resort. The room is beautiful and everything was clean and up to high standard. It was only after we sat down we realised that the room next door was also occupied. How we knew this? We could hear absolutely everything! From the toilet flushing to keeping us awake right though the night. I will not go there again!
A functional, professional reception. The unit was neat and clean. Too bad my unit didn't have braai facilities. The environment helps to rest and relax. The restaurant has a large selection on the menu.
Was already impressed with the neat place from the moment we entered the main gate. Als was great. I just want to say that the chalet at 39a's mattress should please. just looked at. He is already hollowed out like a boat and makes sleeping very uncomfortable. As well as in the kitchen area. That they just keep a dish towel or cloth too in case you spill coffee or milk or water when you make coffee in the mornings please. Maybe just look at it. But the place is beautifully decorated and ideal, will definitely go back with our family. Thank you very much.
Consider adding a freestanding braai to each 2-bed unit with a small kitchenette.
Well equipped. It was clean and modern. The resort has a lot to keep the kids busy. We had a great time and relaxed.
First of all, I just want to say that it is a very lovely place to rest with family and friends, there is a lot to do on the premises. It's clean and tidy and the gardens and everything outside and inside are beautiful and well cared for. Just a few things to bring to their attention: On arrival they were not helpful at all, it was a Sunday afternoon and the lady at reception didn't even know that our booking included breakfast and she argued with me about it and had to contact the website to confirm this. Our bedding was not clean at all on the 1st night, there were old blood marks on the sheet. We had to ask and remind the cleaners 2 times to put toilet paper in because they forget if you don't ask. Lastly, our chalet was right next to the new building area where they are building and it was not covered or closed, the children and other guests could walk in there which was dangerous. But otherwise everything was great.
We had a very relaxing and enjoyable Christmas at the resort - accommodation was very neat and met all our expectations. We would recommend that more attention be given to the staff at the restaurant - the service was very slow even at time when the restaurant was not busy.
Just want to mention that we needed the break to be able to just relax in peace and quiet. Thursday night was heavenly with dead silence and only night sounds. On Friday night, people checked into the room next to us and played loud music and hung out until 1 in the morning. I called the number of Kingdom Resorts and sent them the security to go talk to the people to turn their music down and consider us as well. Unfortunately we had to call three times and ask them to please make a plan because the music is still a problem, it wasn't until close to 2 o'clock that they turned the music off. Unfortunately, they sat deafeningly loud again at 6 o'clock on Saturday morning. It is possible because there is only one wall between us that it was so noisy in our room that one cannot sleep.
Reception at gate was very good, friendly; it created promise that it was going to be delicious. Reception: Friendly, professional, but breakfast was not part of package as advertised on website. The manager undertook to rectify this immediately, despite the error no compensation was offered. You plan beforehand that breakfast would be useful there and then you are told that it will be R149/head. So additional R300/day. To date no correction or explanation has been given as promised by the manager. Room: neat, spacious and comfortable, but soundproofing is non-existent - neighbours' conversations, TV, etc. is clearly audible and can be quite disturbing, especially if your neighbors are noisy. Cleaning staff are very friendly and helpful. Shuttle driver is friendly and very decent. Van is clean and tidy. Would I go there again, I don't know.
Took family from New Zealand for a birthday and booked the Villa. Had lights go off and on the entire time. Made it a miserable birthday. Was highly frustrating and very disappointing. Suggested to the reception to at least credit me for my stay there.
Very nice place, clean and tidy. But you have no privacy. The walls between the units are paper thin. You literally hear everything the people next to you are talking or doing. You hear their TV, talking, sneezing, coughing. Everything! It's so good they sit in the room with you. And yes, I read previous reviews about it and thought it could really be that bad. I can confirm, it really is that bad. You don't have rest there when people next to you visit until 2 in the morning. You just have to listen to them hanging out and TV playing.
We were skeptical about the holiday but when we got there and saw how beautiful and friendly the people are, we were very impressed. Will definitely go back again one day, well done.

We stayed at Kingdom Resort in mid July and were very pleasantly surprised by the warm reception, cleanliness and good location of the resort. We would love to go back and will definitely recommend it!

The resort is beautiful, safe, clean, breathtaking. Problem is the non availability of equipment like an iron and ice, which we had to pay in order to get. Even if some amounts are refundable, my expectations would be that they would be available in the room. Staff is excellent, made me feel special, even arranged a birthday cake for me. Would definitely visit again. I think they should consider having an open braai area for their guests as an option.
Villas are large, neat and clean. The braai area and villa cleaned daily, also the pool. Would suggest that The Kingdom Resort heat up the pool water at the villa somewhat. same with both swimming areas at resort, as the water is very cold.
Clean, beautiful, tidy and very peaceful and comfortable. Near evening Pilanesberg and Sun City and we felt safe!

A good, clean and more affordable accommodation option for those visiting Sun City and Pilanesberg. Seems more suited for family holidays but serves the purpose for business travellers as well.

The room was very modern and fitted with an air-con which is a life saver. The menu at the restaurant was limited due to renovations and did become somewhat tedious to order food. Some restaurant staff are friendly and professional while others don't have a clue whats going on and would ignore any attempt to catch their attention. There are sufficient activities on site to pass the time between visiting major attractions. The put-put course signage corners need a rubber cover on the corners as they are sharp and can cut easily.
Perfect venue for a big group, relaxing atmosphere and great facilities. Some minor issues on maintenance at the Villa's discussed with reception on check out. Activities desk staff needs to be trained by someone who knows the resort facilities on site as with our archery booking the lady at the activities desk was not even aware that this was available on site. Our quad bike booking was made for 5 but was only documented as 2 adults. Ranger Ben who assisted us with the archery and quad bike is a big asset to The Kingdom resort. I can highly recommend that all guests ask to be assisted by him. Restaurant and bar staff very friendly and prices average. As a family get away this is the perfect venue.
The accommodation was nice and tidy and there is a lot for the kids to do. The food at the restaurant was overpriced and very unappetizing unfortunately.

The place impressed me! It's beautiful, clean and tidy. Value for money. Although we were a bit caught off guard as we thought it was a unit where we could barbecue which was not the case. There is a restaurant on the resort that makes delicious pasta and pizza.
Our accommodation was ideal and comfortable for the price, definitely value for money, with good service from the reception until departure. The resort offers good facilities for the family with swimming pools and slide activities, mini golf, and other activities like quad bikes that you can book. The restaurant offers good service at standard prices.
Friendly staff and central to a number of places including Sun City! Such a tranquil place with a number of activities to be enjoyed by the kids. Safety was paramount to me as I travelled with my daughter only and we felt safe during our entire stay. The rooms are kept clean as well.

Very nice holiday, much upgrade since we were last there. Workers at the reception very friendly and helpful. The maintenance team on the ball. The staff at the restaurant were disappointing. Not helpful at all, was not happy with the service at the restaurant. The bar at the splash park slide was great! There was a barman, Gibson, so friendly, helpful, nothing was ever too much for him. He is definitely an asset to the resort! The accommodation is amazing! Neat and clean. Well appointed. With air conditioning everywhere. Very nice family holiday resort.
The room was very modern and beautifully decorated. There are a lot of activities, even though you have to pay for them separately.
Everything was perfect, just that I thought breakfast was included in the money that I paid, and it was not.
We had a very nice stay and the staff were pleasant and the service was prompt. However, the daily service of the rooms was not so thorough. Nevertheless, very nice to stay there, it will work especially well for people with children, because there are many family activities and many fun hours can be spent without leaving the resort or without extra costs.
Wonderful accommodation! Clean and neat and highly recommended. Especially the 2 or 3 room villas for families/friends in need of a getaway or a holiday. Central location, socail area has fire pit and splach pool.

Would have prefered it if someone had let us know that everything was in order after leaving the room. We reported that the mirror in the bathroom was broken and otherwise we left the place as we found it. I presume that breakage deposit wasn't used.

The spa was not that professional for me, we each had a treatment there but the service was not something that impressed me. The stay as well as the staff at the restaurant and reception were really pleasant and I really can't complain about that.
I must say the unit is very neat. I just think that "The Kingdom Resort" should know that if one is only booking a unit for two people, there should be at least one double bed and not two single beds. We had no problems with the accommodation, those who were there were sorted out very quickly. However, I can't say the same about the eatery (Acasia). Those waiters need in-service training very quickly. They are going to lose a lot of customers if they don't do something.
The reception and welcome at the resort was very good, but the service from the rest was not up to standard.
Pros: Great location if you want to visit Sun City or Pilansberg. Free shuttle service on the hour. Cons: The restaurant staff are poor and the food is average. The beer was warm and lots of items on the menu wasn't available. They got the order wrong too. You have to pay extra for air conditioning and this wasn't made clear.

From the reception to the cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of things for the kids to do, and nice and close to Sun City. All that needs some attention is the dining area. There was never enough stuff available. So your choice was limited.

The place is beautiful and would recommend to anyone around me. Firstly I would like to inform you that though the room was clean but it had a bad odour i.e. like someone had been smoking in the room. As a result everything in the room had that smell. The restaurant needs to improve on the following: customer service, cleanliness and lastly the food was not tasty at all.
Not enough for adults to do. The staff have idea on what alcohol they are serving. The food was okay. The cleaning staff don't knock and wait for an answer. They just walk in. Thank goodness we were just laying on the bed.
The Kingdom is worth the visit. Close to Pilanesberg and SunCity. The staff are friendly and the accommodation is clean and well kept

Our stay at Kingdom was a real pleasure. We just wish that we had a bit more time so that we could have made use of your beautiful facilities. I had the perfect sleep on your comfortable beds. It is so close to Sun City which made it so easy for us to go through. I will definitely recommend The Kingdom Resort and will be returning soon.
Location on the doorstep of Sun City, beautiful gardens and modern accommodation. Friendly staff and lovely playground and water world for the kids. The only thing missing for us was a restaurant on the grounds and maybe an outside braai, even for the non-self catering villas. Other than that, we'll definitely make use of the resort in future.
The bathroom is lovely spacious with combined shower and bath. Only the coffee per person was slightly low per day. Will definitely use the accommodation again - we enjoyed the tranquility and being so close to Sun City with the convenience of a shuttle van. Would recommend anytime!
I will stay here again, over any other property in the Pilanesberg Park or Sun City.

Accommodation at The Kingdom Resort comprises a collection of small villages, aesthetically designed to blend in with the landscape. Each village consists of a number of chalets and villas that overlook the Bushveld terrain, and are grouped together to resemble a horseshoe-shaped kraal.
