7 guests' feedback1. No electricity in the upstairs room - host said that due to time of year (4 January) there were no electricians and couldn't fix it - children had to sleep in the lounge as they had no lights or fan upstairs. Also no lights in the downstairs bathroom for the entire stay. The electrical issue was never resolved during our entire stay. 2. Downstairs shower wasn't draining - informed the host, she never sent a plumber or did anything to fix it. 3. Fridge leaked water all over the kitchen floor. 4. No water pressure in the bathroom in the cottage. 5. Shower in the cottage leaks into the rest of the bathroom and the bedroom. 6. Toilet door in the cottage doesn't close. 7. Cushions on the couch were filthy. 8. Bed linen in the cottage had holes in it. 9. Unit was surface cleaned only, if you moved any furniture it was filthy underneath. Paid for a cleaning service and the lady only worked for 2 hours and left without emptying the dustbin. Cupboards are full of empty packets of cleaning materials and other rubbish. Dustbin area is cluttered and full of rubbish. 10. Only 6 forks in an 8-sleeper unit.
Fantastic place to enjoy the tranquility of the woodland and refresh your soul. Our guests from New Zealand were also very impressed with the accommodation. The place is beautifully and very comfortably furnished and has our expected legacy. We would definitely recommend it and would love to stay there again.
Everything was above the expectations and won't mind going back again. It is a home from home with nature and animals. Wish I stayed longer.
We all felt close to undisturbed nature and you can see the moving freely minding their own business while you are safe inside the house, the houses are designed in such a way that you feel safe and if anything should happen you are not trapped. Customer service was always a phone call away and on WhatsApp ready to assist. We will visit again to experience the other beautiful houses.
If you are looking for a place to rest, this is the place! It's quiet, you don't know about the other lodges near you - the location is perfect and excellently laid out. Day two it already felt like our own place, bliss for the soul! There are animals that come right up to the house, we saw animals every day and there was even a herd of buffalo walking right by the house. The house is clean and tidy, definitely a place we will go again, 5 star!
Very nice place to visit with lots of wildlife and breathtaking views. Just wasn't happy when they came at half past ten in the morning to take linen off the beds and just waited outside the front door to clean the place. Think they could do it at 11 o'clock. It felt like we were being rushed. Jacuzzi is then also in Mabalingwe and not at the place itself.

House rules
- Housekeeping is available on request at an additional cost per service.- Any breakages or damages due to negligence by the guests exceeding the breakage deposit will be for the guest's account. Breakage deposits will be refunded 5-7 days after check-out. It is the guest’s responsibility to provide us with banking details for the refund.
- Parties, as well as loud noise and disturbances after 22:00, are not allowed. During the day, music is allowed for your ears only. If we are notified of a valid noise complaint you will be asked to pay for resultant fines issued by the Body Corporate. Refusal to comply will result in you being requested to leave the premises and reserve.
- A game drive vehicle is available on request with prior arrangement, and is at an additional cost per day.
- Rubbish to be kept in the lodge or bins provided, and rubbish will be removed when housekeeping services are booked.
- Please refrain from moving furniture around except for pool loungers and folding chairs. This damages the deck.
- Please place all crockery and cutlery in the lodge before retiring at night and before departing.
- All doors and windows should be closed when not in residence.
- All windows to be closed and all doors to be locked on departure.
- Lodge keys are not allowed to be removed from the property and have to be locked in the key safe, even if you are going on a game drive.
- Fire is only allowed in the designated areas; braai and boma.
- Firewood for the boma and braai area can be pre-ordered for delivery at the lodge at an additional cost per bag. You may bring your own as well.
- No firewood to be collected from the veld. Fines do apply
- Beer bottles, caps, cigarette butts etc thrown in the veld will be cleaned at an additional charge to the guest.
- Some roads in the reserve are not tarred, and it is recommended to use a vehicle with a high clearance when possible.
- Please note that you will be required to accept the full terms and conditions as provided by the establishment upon booking.
