Beautiful views. Friendly hostess.
We were blown away by the view. Graham and Mandi are the most creative pair we have met in a long time. Undoubtedly outstanding hosts. Very good value for money. If you are looking for a secluded space away from the crazy city, this is certainly the hidden gem. Stepping into another world. The apartment has beautiful touches. The best part is having a shower that overlooks an amazing view.
Absolutely amazing. Little getaway for my birthday and we enjoyed it so much. Lovely hosts! Very spacious area and bed. The view was an absolute bonus. Very secluded, quiet area which made it all the better. Highly recommend Aunty Daisy! Will have to come back. Photos are very much like with the naked eye, but seeing it in person was way better; it seems bigger than the photos.

We really enjoyed the view and shower, but the sun was very hot. It shone in the place all morning. The hanging cabinets were very cute and comfortable. It was not clean everywhere. The bedside tables were beautiful with sun rays, but there was thick dust. If the toilet lid is flat, it's filthy in there. There is no daily cleaning of the place so we had to clean the dirt on the toilet ourselves. We had to go buy disinfectant and spray on the dirt. It is definitely not a trained cleaner cleaning the place. We come for 7 days to relax but had to clean our holiday place while not doing it at our own house. We had domestic help for 5 days of the week. There was no DSTV!
Wasn't cleaned properly, spiderwebs in several corners, dust on baseboards and furniture (for example, legs of bedside tables) and toilet area had urine stains on walls and bin. It's unfortunately something I couldn't get past.
The break was very nice.
The view was stunning. The accommodation can pay attention to the cleanliness of their accommodation, and also ensure that their cutlery, glasses etc. are clean.
We booked two nights but only stayed one. Reason: we had a very unpleasant night. It felt like a mosquito nest broke out in the room. We are not exaggerating when we say we killed around 60 of them during the night( windows and door closed). Also, we had a mouse in the flat that we tried to get out during the evening. The mouse was gnawing on things and pooing on the kitchen table top during the night keeping us awake. We think he lived there for a while. Eventually it fell in the toilet and we flushed it. We get very limited sleep during the week and we can't afford to lose any more tonight, which is why we arranged alternative accomodation for us on short notice. The apartment itself is great, but we didnt enjoy the ' nature' part. We love nature, just not as described above. As it stands, we will not recommend Laisy Daisy to others. Ps. No comments/feedback from the owners after we shared our story with them.

I think this is the place with the most spectacular views we have ever stayed in. We stayed for four days. First, we were booked in Lofty but were moved to Lazy Daisy. What an upgrade! Here you could lay in bed and look at the sea. Wow! Thank you, Mandi, we enjoyed our stay!

We stayed in Auntie Daisy for 2 nights. The accommodation is built on a hill with the most beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. The unit entrance is on the ground floor with no stairs to the unit. Parking is right in front of the door of the unit, which makes it very convenient for packing and unpacking. The unit has a kitchen with a microwave oven, fridge, toaster and kettle, as well as a counter with some stools where you can eat. Tea, coffee sugar was provided as well as fresh milk in the fridge. There was dish soap to wash your dishes with. The large spacious area had 2 easy chairs that you could sit on to appreciate the beautiful view. There was a TV with a DStv connection point, but you have to bring your own decoder. We didn't miss a TV, and there was a great selection of music to listen to on Mandi's "Playlist" the area opens onto a wooden deck with a braai area, we didn't use the area, the wind bothered a little. Your view is just as beautiful from the inside. To the room there were 2 stairs with shutter doors if you want to make it cooler with a king size bed, bedside table on both sides and a mirrored wardrobe with an area where you can unpack your bags and clothes. Which was very convenient, there was a plug by the mirror to dry your hair. I forgot my hair dryer but Mandi was kind enough to lend me my hair. There are again 2 steps down to the bathroom, where there is a very nice, large shower, with 2 shower heads. A normal shower head as well as a "rain shower" which was lovely to shower under, the water was quickly warm and what was cute was that the hot water side was marked with red and the cold side with blue, so if you use the faucet, you know which faucet you turned on. There is a sink with hand soap provided, a toilet and a full length mirror which very few guest houses offer you. It was a nice treat. There was also a rechargeable light for loadshedding as well as free WiFi. We didn't use the WiFi as we experienced it being very slow. We really enjoyed our stay, the host and hostess respect your privacy but are just around the corner if you need help. The visit was our 2nd visit to the guest house, we stayed in the Lazy Daisy last time, without any stairs. We can happily recommend this and we will definitely go back again.

We needed a lazy weekend to recharge our batteries. This was the right place for it. Could go for walks and cycling. Unit had everything needed for the weekend.
We had a lovely stay! The view was beautiful, we sat for hours on the balcony admiring the view. It was so peaceful. The room and bathroom were neat and tidy, nice and cosy. The kitchen appliances need a good clean and a new kettle is needed. Everything you needed was there. There is a lovely braai section on the balcony (doesn't show in the photos), and a big thank you to our host for accommodating our late arrival. We will be back.
The last 2 km is dirt road, but can be done with a car. That balcony with its braai and view is fantastic. The bed also sleeps very well.

The Lofty Daisy was a great quiet stay with a beautiful seaside views. Property needs some minor TLC but it doesn't detract from the stay. Being a loft unit it does get very warm however. The unit has a fan but you may want to bring some extra cooling of some kind or make sure to take excursions during the hottest time of day.
Very nice view of St. Helena Bay, as well as the other west coast villages that border it. Very peaceful and quiet just what one needs when life gets so busy. The owners were very friendly upon arrival. However, I experienced a cold shower both nights and did report the problem for future couples. Believe me if they get it sorted it is a lovely little place and I would like to visit it again.
It's a perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The view is spectacular. Definitely would recommend it to anyone who wants peace and quiet.
Quiet, safe environment with a beautiful view of the bay.
We stayed on the upper apartment (loft) the view is stunning and the place is very neat, we only have a problem with the porch outside, the sun is very bad there, it burns you to death, so if they maybe a can put up a small canopy there it will help a lot.
The stay was amazing, beautiful location, the best. Looking at the ocean from the comfort of the bed. Just wow! The selection of music and movies was nice too. Will definitely recommend it to others.

The loft was small and cozy just you and partner, had a lovely few of the sea and harbour.
Just wish there were more facilities nearby and halaal places to eat. The drive down to the harbour was far, not within walking distance.

We had a lovely weekend including our fur baby Lacy she was so relax and content she had do much fun didn't wanted to ho home. Mandi and Graham was so accommodating and helpful, cause the unit we booked had a steep staircase and our husky couldn't walk up by her self they then made quick arrangements to accommodate us in the honeymoon suite downstairs. Furthermore we had a fabulous weekend, would definitely go again and recommend this place any time to friends and family. Thank you Mandi and Graham for your hospitality and for going an extra mile.

Perfectly located between nothing and nowhere. The perfect place if you need a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The location is 10/10, high up on the hill with an amazing vantage point. The fact that you can watch the sunset over the water then leave your room and actually see the sunset in the opposite direction is amazing. The low light pollution and zero "city noises" makes sitting outside stargazing spectacularly surreal. There are small details in the room that I felt were personalized and very thoughtful like the welcome message on the chalkboard, the music playing on arrival and the sherry (although we don't drink it is still a nice gesture). The host was very accommodating to our travel plans and the fact that it is pet friendly is of great value to me. Having been a guesthouse owner and an Airbnb super host. There are portions of the room that could use some love and attention to bring the room back to 10/10 instead of 5/10. My suggestions are as follows as are just that, suggestions. The walls need to be washed down there is a lot of stuff on the walls in weird spots that make the place feel a little less polished. I call these "knee level places" you don't spot them when cleaning but become obvious at eye level when you are in bed. The pillow situation. I'm a fan of a flat pillow and my wife like a big pillow. There should be both options. I did struggle to get comfortable because of the big pillows and ended up using my jacket as a pillow. I could have asked for a different pillow to be honest but it should just be in the room or the cupboard anyway. It wasn't a make or break issue. There are portions of the ceiling that are sagging due to previous water damage and that patch work fixing is evident. If the whole ceiling was painted out and the cornicing that is pulling away from the ceiling in many places fixed, it would look so much better. When the unit above is occupied there is zero noise buffer between rooms (not much you can do about that but it should be noted as it takes away from the stay). If I was to book again I would enquire if the room above was booked over my visit. The first night was great, the second I found difficult purely because I felt part of the neighbour's conversation and they constantly moved around which made sleeping difficult and it just distracts from the peace and quiet I was after. I had no hot water on my second day to shower before I left which put me in an instant bad mood. I assume this is because the hot water is shared between the loft upstairs and this room. Again, not something that could have been fixed while i was there 30 min before the end of my stay. I would recommend either a bigger geyser or a small gas option for each unit. For me, a room (at any price point) should meet 2 basic requirements as a bare minimum: hot water and decent bedding.

My son and I stayed at the Oopsy Daisy room in the loft for the weekend, and it was a lovely neat and cosy room. The wind minimised our ability to spend more time sitting outside on the deck which is a relatively exposed area and gets most of the wind, however the lovely views from the inside windows was adequate.
The hostess welcomed us warmly. Her recommendation to enjoy dawn was greatly appreciated - it was truly worth lying awake early in the morning waiting for that beautiful red break of the day until the sun came up! The view (due to the location) took our breath away. One cannot look enough and look again and look again at the fantastic view. Soft soothing music and a sherry on arrival immediately puts you in a relaxed mood. The nice and spacious bathroom with rain shower head was truly an experience. We have experienced that the sound barrier between us and guests above us is very small and it can become very disturbing to listen to their footsteps (doef-doef) - as and wherever they move in their unit. It also appears that the lower and upper units share a hot water cylinder - so you need to plan carefully when to shower so that your water pressure doesn't suddenly drop (under this fantastic rain shower head) and you suddenly have to settle for reasonably cold water . The geyser's on and off times are controlled, so the geyser's water is not necessarily hot all day - but you can ask the hostess to turn it on at ad hoc times. It was fantastic that our Yorkie could enjoy it with us. Despite the above, we recommend this particular unit and hope to return home one day!
But I would not recommend it for guests who like to visit and exercise and want to stay centrally - it is far up the mountain very remote and very quiet - the hostess was very friendly and the service was great but I prefer central accommodation within walking distance of places to visit. If you like to be quiet, secluded, and just want to read, listen to music and admire the view - yes, 100%! But otherwise not at all and we are social herd animals.
There were spiderwebs in the bathroom and in the room above the curtains. Under the couch was dirty. Needs a more comfortable bed.
Lazy Daisies is quite a way up a hill but the view rewards the effort to get there. the first impressions are positive, but there are a few things that could be improved. I see previous people have also mentioned this here and there. The bed is uncomfortable, there is no mattress, just a piece of sponge, so much so that the second night I slept on the floor, hair on the shower floor, the oven is very full of crumbs and finger marks, so was the kettle not clean. Just take your own pillow and hair dryer. The hostess is friendly and helpful, and brought extra blankets for my floor bed. But we had a great barbecue on the beautiful porch.
From the moment we booked until we left we were in constant communication with the owner. We were welcomed with warm smiles and great conversation. We stayed in the honeymoon suite, and was just superb. Lovely background music in the room when we arrived with the most perfect view. We were given some recommendations for dinner spot in the town when asked. We had the most peaceful sleep with our curtains open to enjoying the pastel sunset and the warm sunrise overlooking the bay. Will definitely be back again.
Make use of the braai facilities and enjoy the beautiful nature and view.
This is a lovely place, clean, tidy, with a view that goes on for days. Clear your planned day trips and porch sitting! The television is redundant because it is never turned on. And then of course there is the rain shower with the view - what more could you ask for!

We stayed in the Lazy Daisy unit. The unit is self contained and is on the ground floor and has no stairs. The unit is spacious and luxurious, and has everything to make your stay very comfortable. The open plan bedroom/living room is spacious and has a very large king size bed, with a good mattress that sleeps well. There are enough blankets to keep you warm. There is a comfortably large couch that overlooks the bay. The en-suite bathroom has a fantastic large shower, which also overlooks the bay. The water is soon warm and you can enjoy a lovely shower. There is a separate toilet and sink. What was also a nice treat is the electric towel rail that keeps your towel warm and dry. The kitchen was well equipped with a large fridge, microwave oven, cups, plates, glasses and cutlery and accessories. Everything you need is there. There is a flat screen TV with a DStv connection point but you must bring your own decoder for that function. There is also free WiFi that works very fast. The unit opens onto a large deck that gives you a beautiful view of the bay, there is also a built-in bay where you can have a great barbecue and enjoy the beautiful view. The sunrise and sunset are beautiful and something to remember for a long time. There is an art gallery located on the premises and it is a must to check out. Mandi is incredibly talented. There is also secure parking for your car close to your unit. Mandi treated us to a bottle of champagne for our wedding anniversary and there was beautiful music playing in the background when we checked in that afternoon, thank you Mandi for the treat, it was appreciated. The play list of the music that was loaded was varied and a great variety to suit everyone's taste, it was a pleasure to listen to. Our experience at Lazy Daisy which is incredibly nice, and we can recommend it to everyone, we will go back again. Mandi respected our privacy but was close by if you needed her.

Mandy is the most wonderful warm person. The gallery "was to die for". My puppies could run around without me having to worry. The accommodation is on top of the existing building and is reached by stairs. I would not recommend the place to someone who is unsteady - the stairs are very steep. Then choose one of the units below instead. Carrying luggage up and down is somewhat of a concern. The space is comfortable with a kitchenette, separate shower and toilet. It consists of one room with the shower and toilet as separate rooms. There is a king size bed, very comfortable. Beautiful view of the bay from the living area as well as from the veranda. The accommodation is a short distance from St. Helena Bay's central area. It is very private and feels very safe, as it is set quite a way up the steep knoll (overlooking the town below). It is very quiet and peaceful. The hostess is very friendly.

Did not know the place is so far up the mountain. But the place is beautiful and quiet. Not for those who want to party more for those who want to break away from a busy place.

A piece of heaven, so tranquil and with the best view, we were more than pleasantly surprised that the pictures actually does not even come closer to the real beauty! The unit itself is beautifully decorated, bed sleeps quite comfortably, and the wet room was the best! We hope to visit again and will definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Absolutely loved everything about it, would be perfect for a few days stay to get away from things. Love the shower - big enough to shower together and not have to fight for water. Love that you can lay on bed and watch TV and look at the beautiful view. The kitchen has everything you need. The only downside is that it's quite a drive to town so make sure you buy everything you need once off - otherwise, loved it and wished we could stay longer. Will definitely be back.

The accommodation was excellent. Comfortable, well-appointed accommodation that is tastefully furnished and decorated. Lovely mattress and warm bedding. Beautifully located with 45° views of the sea and surroundings. Quiet in nature. The Loft has 30 stairs, so make sure you have no fear of heights. Can recommend the accommodation.

The venue was pure heaven, serene, peaceful and absolutely value for money. It is truly money well spent. The honeymoon suite and its surroundings blew me away, completely way above my expectations. The view from your king size bed is spectacular. Having just been there, I can highly recommend this venue as a place to rest and recuperate from the daily stresses of city life. The servicing of us and the suite was of the highest order, 5 star treatment indeed!

The tranquillity of the place and beaches around is like paradise. What you see on the pics is exactly as it is. No surprises and definitely going back for more time to spend. If you are an outdoor person, this is definitely the place and when you need to rekindle the spark in your relationship even when you want to spend quality time. Oh, the music that the host plays and the cherry (cerise) liqueurs are amazing.

We checked into the Lofty Daisy with Mandi and Graham for almost a month and it was the most amazing holiday we have ever had. Upon arrival, our place was so romantically set up for us. A bouquet of roses and a bottle of champagne. Thank you very much, Mandi and Graham, for that little something extra and your hospitality.
We had a great time relaxing and appreciating nature. The incredibly beautiful view just made it even more special.
We had a totally relaxing two-day stay. Everything that you need is there. The view is to die for. The bed was very comfortable. The little kitchen has everything you need. The overall decor is very modern and pretty. Mandi and Graham are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome, they can also advise on the local attractions and best places to eat.
We found the accommodation at Lazy Daisies very easily with the help of Google maps and had a great stay. The room has everything needed for the weekend's stay.
Was a real special time for me as my wife took me there to celebrate my 60th birthday. The place was easy to get and hosts were very friendly. Everything was explained to make us even feel more relaxed, though the weather did not play with us, it only gave us more time to be together. Being on the West Coast it was plain beauty and I will put it on my list for the future again. Be bold and make your booking soon as there is enough other places to visit and experience in the area. The accommodation was neat and clean with a lovely bathroom and beautiful view. All that was missing was an air conditioner as there was only a fan. There were no TV channels either.
We had a great stay and felt like kings in the spacious bed (very comfortable and clean) as well as and especially with the breathtaking view that could not only be enjoyed from the wooden deck but even from the bed! We had a wonderful stay, grilled some nice meat on the deck and slept very well. All I would say could be improved a bit is the cleanliness because there were some dust and cobwebs under the furniture but with the water scarcity in the Cape this is understandable and the view and king size bed by far made up for it. The place has everything you need and we would have loved to stay longer. Unbeatable place to call home in St Helena Bay!

The on-site art gallery is a delight to visit, with exquisite paintings hand-painted by the owner. The little touches around the property, such as the braai lapa, Flat Rock Island and the Art Gallery add to the enjoyment of the venue.

The Lazy Daisies are fantastic. My wife and I really enjoyed the place. It is nice and private and the unit is very nicely laid out with nice finishes. The view is great and we were able to rest properly and return home refreshed after the weekend.
Our stay there was very nice, our room was wonderfully spacious with the most incredible shower. The welcome cherry and the friendly hostess and host. And the fact that our two dog children were also welcome makes it all so ideal. I will definitely go on holiday there again.

It was definitely one of the highlights of my holiday and the owners were so helpful. The penthouse was very nice and we got cold water and milk in the fridge as well as a nice old sherry to welcome us. Ideal place to spend the night with a view like few over St Helena and at night you can also see the lights of Lamberts Bay!
The Lazy Daisy is such a great home to visit. You will be greeted with sherry, music and a stunning view. The room has everything you can think of, from braai tongs to wooden spoons. I only have 1 recommendation for the owners, upgrade the TV wall mount so that it can swivel out for a better viewing angle. This is mostly just needed while relaxing in the evenings with a movie. Other than that, 10 out of 10!

Breathtaking sea view and a very romantic and privaat hideaway. Unit was beautiful and has a stunning rain shower. Thanks to the view, the sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. You can truly find yourself here. All you need is a fireplace and an electric blanket for the winter. On rainy days there's a USB with music and movies ─ very nice!
