The uniquely decorated open-plan house comprises a main bedroom with a double bed, a wardrobe and desk, and big barn doors for privacy, and 3 single beds in the open-plan lounge/dining. Down two steps, a passage leads to two bathrooms, one with a bath, toilet and washbasin, and the other with a shower. There is also an additional guest toilet and washbasin. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, a microwave, 2-plate gas stove, 2-plate electric stove with rotisserie, an electric wok, toaster, and tea- and coffee- making facilities. The dining area contains a 6-seater dining table and chairs and the lounge area features a quaint wood-burning stove. Small breakfast of freshly made scones or pastries available.
The outside area offers a spacious outdoor thatched Lapa which features a long rustic table that seats 12 and comfy sofas that seat 8. There is a a very small lovely farm-style splash pool, ideal for sipping cocktails or listening to the sounds of the surrounding nature. In addition, there is a large braai area with adult as well as kiddies seating.
The hosts live on the premises, privacy for our guests is ensured, and you have exclusive use of the yard and pool area. The only things shared are the main entrance gate, the carport and the rooster, chickens, and tortoises. Regrettably no pets.
Please note there is a gravel road approximately 500m to the house which is easily travelled by standard sedan car.
Situated within easy access to Cradle of Humankind and West Rand.

If you want to have peace, this is the place for you. Except for the host, you are the only people there. Heaven to reset. The host is helpful but stays out of the space, giving you privacy. The space is big, with a small kitchen, but it has everything you need. Loved the Lapa.
Lovely! I really enjoyed myself. We had a fantastic sleep.
It was so peaceful and relaxing and worth every cent. An ideal place to just unwind.
Many thanks to the friendly host. The place was clean and tidy. So much effort put in with many extras that one doesn't expect. Calm atmosphere. One can't stop looking at all the tiger lantins on the premises.
The Lazy Lapa is an interesting place full of antiques which we really enjoyed. Everything was fine, thank you.
The stay was nice and quiet, no problems with anything.
Wonderfully quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The "DVD" collection was an absolute bonus.
Very pleasant stay. The room was nicely decorated and we could see a lot of effort made. The dogs loved it, with fencing all around the property.
Was fabulous and very nice quiet place away from noise and relaxed.
It was awfully nice and needed the rest. Was very calm and forgot the world's things outside. The children really enjoyed the swimming and braai facilities. I will definitely recommend The Lazy Lapa to all my friends and family. Really enjoyed it and Werner was very friendly and helpful.
Was nice, thank you. Calm and quiet.
We enjoyed all the facilities and the peaceful atmosphere! It was a farm-style stay with simplistic furnishings.
The Lazy Lapa is a perfect home away from home when traveling with children. We found that there is so much to do in the surrounding area. The accommodation is comfortable and exciting for children, with lots to look at and explore. The kids loved the bunnies and chickens. We had hours of fun in the little pool and the braai area.
All in all a very good experience. The house and garden have interesting and creative decor which I delighted in. Everything you need for a nice stay is at your disposal. The kitchen is well equipped — nice big fridge, gas stove, microwave oven and small two plate stove with an oven. At night it was winter cold, but the stove warmed the house in no time and in bed we were all cozy and warm. We had a great time on the stoep and in the lapa
The stay was incredible and it's good for resting because there is no noise.
Honestly, very nice place for a family to stay. The host was also very friendly and helpful. The shop is 5 min away and we were lucky to have nice weather throughout the stay.
It was a chilled weekend. Even the children enjoyed it. Great for family bonding. Boardgames galore, so much fun was had.
4 sister friends who go away together once a year to just be - we could be at Lazy Lapa!
It was very nice. Thank you Jan, that we could visit there.
A relaxing stay away from everything.
This is a stunning property. The management are friendly and keep the property very clean. Excellent location and the house is very well equipped. Nice to have the peace and quiet.
Children enjoyed them. Hospitality and service were excellent. They will definitely visit the place again.
Our hosts went out of their way to help when there were water problems not of their making.
Had a great stay and explored the area. One year old boy really liked all the toy horses in the house and toys outside, also the chickens next to the house. Cool off in the splash pool.
We struggled to get access to the guesthouse because the owner left with the keys.
The unit is spotless and so well equipped and the breakfast we had was brilliant. Beautifully decorated and something unusual to look at.
We had a wonderful experience at Lazy Lapa. The accommodation was clean and you can see so much thought and love has gone into the decor. Brenda was a perfect hostess. The pastries we got for breakfast were wonderful and our week ended off perfectly with a beautifully arranged full breakfast. Top marks to this hostess and establishment!
Stayed with 5 adults and 7 Labrador Retrievers. Couldn't have been better. Welcomed and goodbye with delightful homemade scones and jam. Perfectly located for our purpose.
Brenda and Jan are lovely attentive hosts.
Everything you need. Could just do with a bigger fridge.
The scones served for breakfast in the morning were already the accommodation's money. Will definitely visit again, and recommend to anyone.
