27 guests' feedbackI always try to take the positives away from a trip, but this was definitely not our stay. 1. The one bed was broken. It was reported but not fixed. 2. The extractor fans in the bathroom are so dirty and worn out. 3. The Sony television was disappointing, small screen and the sound is max on 100 with DSTV on max just to hear something. 4. Only a few limited channels, not something one expects from 5-star. 5. The bathroom is nice, but the shower head can't be adjusted and doesn't spray properly, even the shower door has to be hooked from the inside with a cheap hook to keep it closed. 6. On Saturday evening, someone barbecues in the courtyard right under our sleeping place. Our whole room was full of smoke. 7. Finally, the breakfast. It is no longer served in the guest house, you have to drive out of Silver Lakes to the Food Factory to get breakfast. We did it, arrived there the service was bad and the food not worth the name breakfast. Overall really felt neglected for something that should have been a 5 star experience.
We were well received and immediately felt at home. The rooms and amenities were above board. Not even talking about the setting and amazing inviting indoor blue pool. The breakfast service is spot on.
Neat, luxurious accommodation and close to everything. We really enjoyed our weekend. There is everything one needs and it is very safe.
It had been breathtaking. The place is very neat and it's so quiet and peaceful. The bar unfortunately had few options and was not "fully stocked". The jacuzzi didn't work either.
Perfect property if you are looking for good accommodation in Silver Lakes Estate. Has a very corporate feel but is clean, comfortable and met our requirements.

My husband and I stayed over for two nights. The place is luxurious, neat, safe and very central. Our service was excellent and the breakfast delicious and plenty. Would definitely recommend it and stay there again myself.

We expected better service from a 5 star venue.
The Honeymoon Suite is not a Honeymoon Suite at all. 2 x dubbed beds. Porch was not clean and the TV did not work. The cushions need to be replaced. Largely the place needs a revamp and a good manager who can run the front desk. The room is not worth R1800 per night at all.

It was a large room with a lot of space but customer service was very poor. The fireplace in the room did not work and when we asked the receptionist said it has never worked and there was no one who could come see what was wrong! Also some of the lights in the room did not work. Breakfast we sat there for half an hour before they came to ask what we wanted and then we had to ask what was available. The place, food and safety was fantastic but the service was poor and I hope it will be looked at!

I stayed in the Augusta room which was wonderfully spacious and well equipped. It was nice to be able to walk out onto the large balcony. I wanted to be in a quiet and peaceful environment and the guest house perfectly fulfilled this requirement.
I would recommend it anytime. Neat, clean and extremely tasteful. Safe and quiet area and friendly staff - we had a nice walk!
