32 guests' feedbackWhat a lovely position, and what a view! A 180 degree view of the ocean. One looks down on the rolling swell out at sea that forms breakers as they get closer to the shoreline, together with a constant roar. We regularly spotted pods of dolphins feeding! The house is well-equipped and it all added up to a lovely stay. And we had a warm welcome by very friendly hosts.

Lovely place, clean and tidy with the most beautiful view! The kitchen and unit are very well equipped with more than what is needed for a carefree holiday. Tertia made us feel very welcome and was very helpful. We will definitely stay there again.

Beautiful and well furnished with everything we needed. Home away from our home. Owners very considerate people let us know about events in the area, e.g. loadshedding schedule and market day at the community centre. We will definitely stay there again in the future.
We slept well at The Lookout.
The view is beautiful and the living area well equipped, but I cannot agree with other reviews on the website about the accommodation. We were repeatedly bothered the morning before our arrival with calls from the hostess, ostensibly to know when we would arrive. When we got there, there was no one to receive us. The hostess did not answer her phone and I finally got hold of the host at his work. He arrived half an hour later to give us access to the house. The living area and kitchen were dirty with old dishes and food left around. It was a very awkward situation as he scrambled to get everything clean and tidy. The bathroom did not smell very fresh and lacked maintenance. Furthermore, there were pets that roamed freely in the unit, even though we requested that they please keep the animals away.

This one of the very best self-catering units I have ever been lucky enough to stay in. Kevin and Tersia are excellent hosts, they really have thought of everything. Stunning sea views and being pet friendly is a real bonus.
I will definitely visit The Lookout again. It is ideal for a break where you regain hope and zest for life. The view of the ocean is fantastic and calming. The Lookout is definitely seeing me again.
An absolute delight to be welcomed by Kevin and Tertia (and Simba) at their beautiful place. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. The unit is very neat, excellently furnished and equipped with everything imaginable. Thanks for Grandma's birthday cookie and cherries. It was a special surprise that meant a lot to an 84-year-old "grandma". Keep up the good work and may you be blessed with many more guests in the future!
We will definitely be back. Tersia and Kevin were great hosts. The view absolutely amazing. Comfy beds, great service. All in all it's one of the best places we've ever stayed. The lookout has become our favourite place.
The view over the Indian Ocean is awesome!
It has everything and more than we needed. Just for small kids, the patio need some railings to prevent them from falling off. Otherwise, we will recommend it to everyone.

We were welcomed very hospitably and Kevin also lent us his binoculars. The view over the sea is very beautiful. We could see whales and dolphins from the porch. The facilities and especially the kitchen are so well equipped that you feel very much at home. It was a lovely experience and we hope to visit again.

The Lookout is well equipped with everything you need for a stay away from your own home. Beautiful kitchen with a stunning gas stove, plenty pots, utensils and even an air fryer. I travel with most of my equipment as I love to cook. The bedding was super clean, pillows were a good quality and the towels were soft and absorbent. Beautiful dinner table and comfy chairs. Nice stoep with an outdoor braai. The owner even supplied wood for the braai. The Lookout is a must stay for anyone wanting to get away from city life. Fibre is available and the lounge has a big smart TV. We loved it and we will be back. Thank you Kevin and Tertia for making us feel at home.

This is one of those destinations that deserves more than five stars. We were warmly received - it is very clear that the owners understand the hospitality industry very well. The kitchen is more than fully equipped, from a bean-to-cup coffee machine to an air fryer. Even spices for cooking. Everything is spotless, there really is nothing negative to write about The Lookout. Beautiful view from the porch, and we had silence and privacy.
What a beautiful place. Exactly what one needs for a getaway, holiday or overnight destination. Neat, clean and ideal for a family. The owner is friendly and helpful. The view is amazing and lying and listening to the waves in the evenings is like therapy. Do not miss out on the place if you are looking for accommodation in the area.
For anyone who just wants to hear the sea and forget about the city, The Lookout is a must. We went with dogs and we all enjoyed it so much.
