Our hosts were amazing. They made sure we were comfortable and gave us useful information about Hogsback. The cottage had everything we needed, which made for a pleasant and enjoyable stay.
Loved the decor, minimalist in that there was no clutter but roomy enough for the 3 of us under wet and cold conditions. Beds were super comfortable and indoor fireplace great for heating the apartment at night. Undercover braai area was a plus.
It was absolutely wonderful. Would not hesitate to do it again! It was so much fun. We had such a great time. I can't wait to go back on holiday again.

His hospitality was exceptional, and his knowledge of the area added depth to our stay, offering valuable insights into making the most of our time in Hogsback. We wholeheartedly recommend The Manna Cottages to anyone seeking a serene and delightful stay in Hogsback. The combination of beautiful surroundings, impeccable accommodation, and outstanding hospitality made our time here truly unforgettable. We can't wait to return to this little piece of paradise!
Further developments are underway here which will unlock the full potential of this guest house going forward. Our hostess was very helpful in addressing our needs. If you like nice wooded areas, this is the place for you. The guest house is beautifully and tastefully furnished with the most luxurious furniture. There was more than enough wood available for barbecuing and lighting a fireplace.
The Manna Cottages are extremely comfortable and are equipped with most things needed for a good time in Hogsback. Janique welcomed us very kindly and showed and explained everything we needed to know on the premises. She was very helpful and often sent messages to see if everything was still okay. The cottages are close to the village, on the way to "The Edge" and the road there is very good for any vehicle. The main house is well equipped and very comfortable, with a pool table and folding table tennis set to entertain yourself with. The view is breathtaking. The rooms and bathrooms are all comfortable and well equipped. There are many fireplaces to light a warm fire to control the cold. A few points to note for improvement: 1. There is no barbecue grill and triangle or bricks at the big house's barbecue area. 2. The kitchen sinks are not in the kitchen, but outside, with no storage space for dirty dishes. 3. There is a dishwasher on the premises, but it is not connected. 4. The gas stove plates work fantastically, but the electric oven does not. 5. The gas Weber did not have a gas bottle, we brought one of the cottages bottle closer to use the Weber, as the oven was out of order. 6. A few gas heaters would help to warm up the cold house, if making a fire all day long is not possible. 7. The master bedroom's bed did not have a sheet, only a mattress protector. If the above points can be addressed, The Manna Cottages will be the place to stay in Hogsback!

Our stay was lovely, the owner and manager were very accommodating to all our requests.
Ended up staying in Butterfly Cottage. The hosts were stalwarts. Nothing was too much to ask. Checked in regularly to make sure everything was in order. Little things like extra blankets would have been appreciated.
Nice stay, but it needs a few 'finer touches' to make it better, like some coffee/tea facilities.
We were very inconvenienced. At last minute, we were told by the owner/manager that the cottage we initially booked is not available, and we were redirected to another smaller one. When we got there, it was ok, but the next day there was no hot water.
