38 guests' feedbackIt was a cool place with the friendliest people. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Albert was always ready to help with anything.
Not as good as our previous stay. Unfortunately, the room we booked was not available due to a previous occupier stealing some of the fittings. The room we were given was not ideal as we were intending to eat that evening as a family (5 of us). We also had to clean some of the kitchen utensils. There was only one sharp knife (the bread knife), and there was someone's washing in the washing machine. When closing the blind that evening, it fell off the rails. In mid-summer, there were still electric blankets on the bed. Also, not a great shower - just a trickle of water and very difficult to get the temperature right. I know the issues with the previous occupier were perhaps out of the control of the owner, but I would have expected a call before we arrived explaining the situation.
Booked both Hide Away and Roads End. Stayed in Hide Away. . Will not recommend Hide Away for the same price. . . Never sure if your room/unit will be cleaned. If not, there is no cleaning products or broom available to do it yourself. We stayed for 4 nights. Had to ask for extra toilet paper and for room to be serviced. Wifi is very slow. Not recommende if you need fast internet. On arrival i was asked if i paid. Although paid in full 3 weeks prior. . I would recommend a shorter stay, as there is literally only 2x of each items in the cupboards. Area at the swimming pool os farthest away of Hide Away, so not really that easy to access. Arranged for earlier book in and was approved, but unfortuanely the message was not communicated and we had to wait an hour. . There is no hangers in cupboards and not suitable to hang long items.
The fountain in the courtyard created a peaceful atmosphere. The room was neat and clean. The environment is also quite quiet and peaceful.
Really enjoyed our 4 night stay. Would recommend for anyone looking for accommodation in the Benoni area.

Very well located. Everything one needs. Very clean and tidy. The decor is very tasteful. It was a bonus to have a small kitchen with a fridge and microwave. I find myself in the east again in July and will definitely spend the night here again.

The guest house is, as the name says, minimalist. The room was neat and clean. The driver was unfriendly. The upgraded flat screen TV is a very small unit. There is only Openview available.

Very clean, tidy and friendly. George opened the gate for us early, 4:00 am, so we could go for a run. Safe area.
We went for a race. Check-out time is 10:00, but we requested if we could possibly shower after the race, around 13:00. George did not hesitate to help us. Would definitely recommend!
The Venue was excellent and the staff made our stay so comfortable. The Room was off a very high standard and the Venue was quiet and peaceful. The owner and the staff received us well. We will definitely recommend The Minimalist to friends and family. Great service great staff.
We were welcomed upon arrival and shown around then to our room. Nothing was too much trouble. The place is beautifully decorated and well equipped for an overnight stay. We would most definitely use The Minimalist again should we need to overnight in the area.

What I was looking for was above expectation, not only friendly service, but it was so clean and tidy and really very beautiful, I couldn't wait to send the photos to others to show what a beautiful place we slept in. The little things that may not be important to others were wow to me like the smarties on my towel, the surprise candy package next to my bed. The shampoo I forgot at home and the biscuit with my coffee for the morning and clean water in our small fridge to swallow our pills with. It was the smallest kitchen ever, but with everything needed and the biggest shower. It's the only place I want to sleep over and not just because it's so cheap, it's compact luxury, all that can help is a trash can in the bathroom. Thank you so much Minimalist for your wonderful place that we could have used.
Wow! What a fun time! It's so beautiful there and the decor couldn't be more beautiful and better! I would say that everyone should choose the place first above others! The owner of the place welcomed us and we couldn't ask for better! Highly recommended!
