This beautifully styled house is a gorgeous light-filled space with high ceilings, concrete floors and a central fireplace for those winter months. The house can accommodate up to 8 guests and contains 4 bedrooms, and an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. The first and second bedrooms each contain a queen-size bed and a shower en suite with a toilet and washbasin. The third bedroom contains a queen-size bed and the fourth bedroom contains 2 single beds.
The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering and includes a fridge-freezer, a gas stove and electric oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine, and a Nespresso machine. The dining area contains an 8-seater dining table and chairs. The lounge offers comfortable seating, a fireplace, and plenty of books. The sun room has a wood-burning oven for warmth.
Outside, there is seating and braai facilities. Guests can take a dip in the inviting plunge pool before retreating inside in search of a good book. Well-behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement.

10 guests' feedbackOur stay at this place was an absolute dream! Not only were the kitchen utensils beautiful, but the outdoor setting was equally enchanting. The kitchen tools have added a touch of sophistication to our culinary pursuits, from cooking to table setting. Each piece was thoughtfully composed, elevating our dining experience to new heights. Furthermore, the exterior of the accommodation was simply beautiful. Whether we were enjoying morning coffee on the porch or relaxing with a glass of wine in the garden, the outdoor setting provided a peaceful retreat. Surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful scenery, we felt totally at peace. Overall, this stay exceeded our expectations in every way. Will definitely want to come again when the weather comes. Hope the weather will be better and we can make full use of the outside area. It's even more beautiful than the photos. Pippa thought of everything. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxury stay with a focus on both culinary excellence and natural beauty and it's doggy-friendly on top of that. Thank you very much.
We had a very happy weekend with the whole family. Unfortunately, the weather was cold and wet, but the hosts provided generous firewood, so we were warm and cozy.

Lovely place to visit for all seasons. Follow the sun and sit on the back porch or in various other areas in the garden.
Lovely house and garden.
Quiet and peaceful location. Really enjoyed the pool. The places were not ready when we arrived and there were a few places and items that were not clean but the owner explained that there was not enough time to clean before our arrival because the previous people had that morning leave first. They refunded us a day's rate discount to make up. The fridge didn't work and we had to throw R 600 worth of meat away, but the owner immediately had a new fridge delivered. It had to do with the eternal loadshedding. Well furnished except for the fact that there is only one large pot and one very small pot so cooking Christmas dinner was a challenge. I also had to buy my own sharp knives because the knives that were there were blunt. Otherwise very nice and we would recommend it. Our dogs were also welcome and they enjoyed it.
The house could do with a very good deep spring clean and the beds being upgraded, they are very uncomfortable.
It is a very nice place where you can rest and relax, nice facilities such as dishwasher, nice garden, nice place to hang out inside and outside. Will definitely go again.
The Old Barn was fantastic - Awesome accommodation! Very well equipped, beds cosy and comfortable. The ambience of the Old Barn was amazing, both indoors and the outdoor area! Highly Recommended!
What a little treasure, we loved our very short stay, wish we could have stayed longer. There were so many thoughtful touches around the house, we loved the outdoor area and the linen was crisp and clean. Only strange thing was that there was no braai grid, but we made a plan. Thanks, we will be back.
