The addition of a swimming pool at the facility would make a big difference.
Stay was good, was a little disappointed that there was no electric blanket as advertised but the additional blankets made up for it. Two towels would also be a bonus instead of just one.

The one staff member, Present, was very friendly. However, we had trouble coming in and out of the property as the place does not provide the guests with a remote for the gate. Coming in and out means waiting up to 15 minutes for the staff member to arrive with the remote.
Breakfast leaves much to be desired; the food was cold and eggs were overcooked, furthermore the bedding was not changed or just plain old and had holes from cigarette marks. At least loadshedding got a light and there is no roof for the car. The toilet leaks and the toilet paper is less than single ply, and there is no remote control for the TV.
Comfortable stay and clean chalet. Parking next to the chalet is difficult with the grass banks.
Lovely bed, porch and really very peaceful. One hardly notices that there are still visitors. An affordable and cute place to stay, however, attention could be paid to small things. The fridge was not switched on, there are coffee facilities, but the crockery was not very clean.
They knew 2 people had booked for self-catering, but they had not equipped the unit with the basics: Only one drinking glass, no forks, no chopping board or bread knife and we ran out of toilet paper! There was no apology from the woman at reception when we complained. The cleaner sorted us out.
What is advertised on and what I found there is, to say the least, false advertising. The Cottage which sleeps 7 with en-suite bathroom and queen-size double bed does not exist. The door is closed and you get 5 single beds. 2 unwashed plates, 2 glasses and a non-working fridge greeted us. No soap, shampoo, coffee, etc. in the room. This after I called the Tuesday and they confirmed it was included. Towels look like something I would wash my car with. Security gate has no lock in it, I had to try to secure it with cable ties.
Comfortable, spacious bedrooms with tranquil rural atmosphere.
I was never told that the geyser was switched off. No one took me to the cottage to show me how things worked, as a result I had to bath in cold water in a very cold Machadodorp. I was very upset. I arrived at around 9 pm. The gentleman I met just checked me in and gave me the key to the cottage. He never took me there as it is custom in the hospitality industry. As a result I had to figure out a lot of things by trial an error. Like, it is cold, there is no visible heater or kaggel in the room, then I later figured out there are electric blankets. I never knew the geyser is switched off and had to bath in cold water the next morning. It was a horrible experience for me. My recommendation is to train your staff on hospitality, and have a security (gate man) to open rather than stopping at the gate and phone the manager to come and open. It exposes your customer to dangers of being hijacked right in front of your establishment.
Only stayed overnight and arrived late, so did not see a lot of the hotel. Had a delicious breakfast, even though the service could've been better. Very friendly owner.
