The Old School House has a spacious open-plan lounge, kitchen, dining room area with a central wood-burning fireplace. The kitchen is fully-equipped for self-catering. It has a four plate electric stove top, an electric oven, a microwave and a full-standing fridge and freezer.
We only take one booking at a time, so you would occupy the whole house.
Outside there is a barbecue area, as well as a boma with all that you will need to braai with.
Guests can enjoy walking among the Karoo Koppies, swimming and fishing in the river, viewing the wildlife of The River Farm, or simply relaxing and enjoying the view of the river and the expansive Swartberg Mountain Range.

Pleasant and relaxed as always.
Ideal family getaway to switch off.
House has everything one needs and more. Here you can just switch off and forget about the world outside. Picnic area by river very nice and it was an experience to go out on the river with canoes that are there for guests to use.
The Old School House is a beautiful building, in a picturesque valley, near a beautiful river in which we could swim and share a very sweet time. We'll be back as soon as possible!
It’s always nice to get out of the city. We had a lovely weekend at The Old School House. The place was very clean, and the hosts were very friendly. The location was also safe and peaceful. We would highly recommend this for a getaway.

We loved the location of the farm. Being right on the river was lovely and the water activity facilities were very good. We were disappointed by the construction noise from the neighbors across the road from our cottage, which otherwise felt very quiet and private.
A very special place where the spirit has been preserved by very special people.
This place starts when you are about 1 km on the gravel road. You just have to stop to appreciate the stunning views which are so unexpected. The owners have created a very special place here with wonderful spots next to the river. You have to visit to really enjoy the place.
