The thatched guest house offers 4 beautiful units. All rooms have white linen. The rooms have private entrances leading onto a patio overlooking the garden. Tea and coffee making facilities, bar fridges, TVs with selected channels and air-conditioning are also provided in each room.
Unfortunately there are no TVs or air conditioning in the rooms, but there is a TV with DStv in the dining room and lapa. Breakfast and dinner can be provided on request. We do not serve alcohol, but guests are welcome to bring their own drinks.
The large garden has a variety of trees and bird species. Renovation work on the putt-putt track is currently underway, but it will be available again soon.

Sports Day Bullet Rugby Vaalwater Primary School.
We slept over as a group of 5 people and we rode motorbikes with our adventure and Esbe and her daughter even took one of our group to town with the vehicle as well as there was a braai for us at reasonable prices as part of our dinner with ice and everything that met our needs, thank you very much, Esbe and your team.

No trouble too much for staff regarding administration, arranging breakfast earlier than usual in the form of takeaway breakfast. Was tasty, well packed and ready at the time of departure. Staff very friendly and helpful.

I was not there for vacation. Arrived around 17:30 and left again the next morning at 0:H00. Everything was clean, tidy and in working order.

Esbe was very friendly, helpful with information and accommodating. The room was clean and tidy. If I could stay longer, I would have enjoyed the garden too. I mention the following points only as advisory and not as criticism. I understand that they haven't been open long yet and therefore just want to highlight something. The shower's hot water was not really hot. Didn't even need to turn on the cold water. Lighting very poor. Although the ambient lighting creates a good atmosphere in general, I feel that there should be at least one bright light. I had terrible trouble seeing when I was doing makeup, for example. Other than that, no complaints. Had a wonderful sleep on a comfortable cozy bed. I wish them every success with their venture.
We had a great stay and everything was in top condition. We had all we needed. The only critique is that we thought breakfast was included in the overnight price, which then wasn't the case.
No aircons, no DStv, selected channels, no breakfast at that price ─ I think it is a bit unrealistic to request this rate in Vaalwater without any of mentioned included.

Each room has a theme. I stayed in the Butterfly Room which had paintings done by the owner herself, giving the luxurious rooms a special touch. Great service and delicious food. Highly recommended.
Rooms are clean and comfortable, but the environment was noisy until late at night. The joint dining and lounge area could do with a makeover and the TV is very old. Safety of parked vehicles is also a concern.
