Is one of the best resorts in Durban. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay at The Palace again.
Loveable, caring, sweet.
Pleasant stay with a nice sea view. Room well equipped with everything needed. Hotel is neat and clean. Good restaurant with delicious meals. Secure parking available. Can recommend accommodation.
Three of the five nights we had no hot water. Carpets are old, burnt and dirty, but the rest of the apartment was nice; decor is dated. Not all the plugs in the apartment worked. Could do with some baby proofing of the living room plug next to the TV set. Room needs sound proofing; you can hear the guest in the next room! Staff were very nice and welcoming, but did not like that they tried to rope us in on buying some type of holiday club. Ekko! Area is not great. Lots of police around due to it being an unsafe area.
This place needs a serious revamp. Room was not clean, everything was very outdated. Had a cockroach in the bathtub, we were too scared to shower there. Literally slept and left for business.
The one downside was that there was only 1 elevator working for the period of our stay and this sometimes made it very difficult to move at all with social distancing. Just a further request is that if you pay for covered parking, then there must be enough parking for everyone who pays. There was one night we couldn't park in an allocated parking space because the parking area was full, so we had to pick a corner to just stand and then you worry that your vehicle could be in the road or can get hurt.
We were constantly harassed by marketers. They even woke us up one morning and lured us to a room with free breakfast, where they wanted to make a presentation for us. Bitterly unprofessional performances.
Service and cleanliness were very good. Room was well maintained during my stay and the location is very good.
I wanted to treat my daughter to a one-night luxury experience. The reception was unfriendly and I never felt welcome: the check-out time was kept as a death knell. Our room was cramped and noisy. When our access card didn't work fifteen minutes before check-out time, I was really pissed. We had to go to reception twice to sort out the problem (the room door's reception battery was dead) and our stay almost turned into a nightmare. Many thanks, however, to the woman who sat in the garage in traditional clothes and received us very kindly.
Very professional reception by the staff and they were very considerate. The rooms are breathtaking, my mouth fell open when I walked into the room. Got more than I expected. Will definitely go back.
The Palace was lovely. From the moment we entered, the check-in was effortless and not time consuming at all. The suite we were given was lovely and the view from the suite even more beautiful. Very clean place and the housekeeping is also very friendly. I have already told all my friends and family about it. Will definitely be going back again soon enough.
It is a beautiful and very comfortable hotel to stay at. The service and attention to detail is well. I would recommend this hotel to many people.
