I would have liked an extra bag of coffee and maybe potable water in the fridge. Milk would also be a bonus.
We were kindly welcomed and immediately taken to our room. We had to leave early on the Sunday morning and I received friendly instructions at 6:00 in the morning regarding where to leave the key. We were only in Klerksdorp for the weekend, but will definitely recommend The Palms Guest House to family and friends!

Enjoyed the stay. Lovely guest house in general as well as lovely rooms. Has everything you need. Would recommend to anyone. Will stay there anytime again. Had no problems whatsoever. Very friendly and kind staff as well.
The Palms Guest House is a very neat, clean, modern and central guest house. The reception was friendly, with a lot of knowledge about the town, and made us feel comfortable very quickly. The rooms are equipped with everything one needs and more. There were no problems with check-in or check-out, everything went smoothly. I would recommend this guest house to anyone looking to stay a night or three! Very good value for money!
The place is very beautiful, the rooms are very nicely decorated and have everything you will need. Security is good, vehicle could be parked safely inside and only with a remote can someone gain access to enter. What we were dissatisfied with was the customer service, upon arrival there was no management to be found as well as nowhere to be found for the whole weekend, Anna checked us in, but welcoming tactics can definitely be learned, words were few and far between and we only had her just followed to the room with the key and no further information of the rest of the money to be paid and when etc. not. We still had to pay the rest of the money, there is a card machine in reception, but apparently only cash is accepted on weekends which was not mentioned before, if you want to do an EFT you have to call the management according to Anna (on A Sunday morning) to ask if you MAY pay like that?! It was unacceptable for us to have to start driving behind, so instead we drove to the nearest ATM to withdraw cash and just get it behind us. With payment she could not provide us with a receipt, only on an invoice written "paid, Anna, date". Surely a receipt book could be kept for such moments? No breakfast on weekends either. The place is also beautiful, neat, clean, safe.
Although I had booked and paid in advance, my reservation was not listed upon my arrival. I then showed the person on duty my email reservation and was then offered a room. It was a very small space across unfinished construction. After my girlfriend complained about the location of the grease trap, its size and a strong smell of pine gel, we were offered a better room. The second room was better. The only big plus was the nice hot shower. The bed was the hardest I have ever found at a guest house.

Service extends beyond check-in and check-out. We were also given information about attractions and restaurants in the area. Rooms are very neat and beautifully decorated with everything needed. Very good place for an overnight stay.
I have a problem with the bathroom that didn't have burglar bars in front of it, but what frustrated me the most is that we were asked to settle the difference in cash and there was no one at the reception who knew what was going on not. The information brochure was not suitable at all, no information was reproduced in it, not even a WiFi password. All that was in our cover were endless takeaway menus. I also had to ask for a receipt and then finally on the complaints: the smelly ashtrays are all over the world on the tables outside the rooms. For non-smokers it is an extremely unpleasant smell to walk past. A suggestion would be to put smokers at the very bottom of the aisles and non-smokers at the beginning, or create just one smoking station and keep it extremely clean. Then on a positive note: The rooms were beautifully appointed and extremely clean. I was very impressed. I would use the guest house again for that reason. I hope that my criticism will be seen as constructive, and that the compliments will be seen in the same light.
On arrival there were no towels in room and not enough toilet paper and I had to go and ask for it myself, our shower was broken so could not use shower. Cups and glasses that had been washed from previous guests were still in the drying rack and hadn't even been packed away, towels look very old and the extra blanket in the cupboard is also very old!

We had a wonderful stay with a friendly, hospitable hostess who will do anything to make her guests' stay as comfortable as possible.
Friendly staff & good customer service & very clean.
I enjoyed staying there, as the staff were friendly and it was neat & clean. I would suggest that towels be changed daily. All in all a very nice stay.

Everyone is friendly and helped us a lot. The rooms are clean and the bed is neat. Warm bedding and electric blankets are provided. The breakfast was very nice and we were informed in advance about what was served for breakfast.

Palm Guest House is just on the surface very neat and the garden is a loop court. The food was very tasty and the guest rooms always clean. Will recommend to family and friends, thanks.

The directions to get there could be improved.
Friendly reception and beautiful clean rooms. The gardens are neatly kept so it feels nice to walk out of your room. Big good breakfast and value for money. Just a shame the card machine didn't work and we had to scramble to gather enough cash.

Excellent services and very good environment
The location was well chosen, the surroundings are serene, the quietness uplifting, the service and friendliness of the hostess and staff second to none. The stay at the Palms Guest House was a blessed experiencence!
