We had a wonderful stay! The house is located in a quiet area and has beautifully maintained lawns. In addition to the usual coffee and tea, the hostess also provided biscuits and breakfast cereal with extra milk.

It was perfect for an overnight stay and everything was beautifully clean. There is air conditioning in the room which is necessary in December in Hopetown. The hostess even had milk and porridge ready if we wanted to eat it.

I was under the impression that I booked the apartment, on arrival we were given a room with shared kitchen.
Everything one needs for a night's stay is in the guest house.
Would recommend it over cleanliness, friendly service and safety, location can be tricky.

Charlotte made a lot of effort to receive us almost 12h in the evening. Our room was nice and clean and had everything we needed.

We could throw a little meat on the coals and the hot shower was so welcome in the severe winter cold. It's our second time using The Palms. Definitely recommend.

The hostess, Charlotte, received us very generously and went out of her way to ensure that everything was in order. The biggest surprise was a massive chest freezer that she made available to us for our dog's holiday food (raw meat). Will definitely stay there again!

The guest house is close to the main road and the trucks are noisy.
It is a very comfortable, clean overnight destination.
Had the bathroom opposite my room and had to cross the wooden passage way which was very embarrassing if had to go 3 to 4 times at night.
Would love to open the blinds in the rooms for light.
All the problems we encountered were the people next to us. That my husband had to get up and go and silence them. They came back to the hut and made noise again. Just want to hear that they should put a sign there that they consider other people who want to sleep. Otherwise we enjoyed it.
After a large number of kilometers of travel we were very tired. We were kindly received at the guest house. After a delicious cozy meal at a nearby restaurant, we returned as a family to the guest house where we had a wonderful shower and could continue to relax in a neat and clean environment. Slept well and left early the next morning. Thank you very much for your excellent service. Also that you provide a safe service for our traveling pets.

We had some trouble getting into the security gate. Luckily, another guest was nearby and could help. A sign after Reception will help strangers a lot. A barbecue area at more units would be welcome. Currently, barbecue facilities must be shared.

Susan received us very kindly and showed us all the facilities. It was nice to get biscuits (even if it was only one piece and I would have liked more), muesli and yogurt. It felt like spoiling. We were the only ones staying there, but I got the impression that if there were more guests, we would have to share bathrooms. It's not a nice thought.
The accommodation was very comfortable, neat and clean and the service to show us the room and kitchen very good. Would love to stay there again.

It truly is the ideal place to overnight when travelling to/from the Cape. Own private room with all the necessary things. Still one of our favourite overnight accommodations.

It was a positive experience. It was private and secure, no one hanging around and checking up on you. Charlotte, the owner, was really friendly and helpful. We loved the lapa-area.

The guest house is very conveniently located, however I felt that it needed some love and attention to ensure we would stay there again. However, the service was very friendly.
Our reception was friendly although the room was sparsely furnished, it was sufficient. We were tired and had noisy semi-permanent residents as neighbors. We also received a visit from giant flying cockatoos which made me cringe terribly.
My family and I with two miniature schnauzers once again (for the 3rd time) had a great stay at Die Palms Gastehuis and the friendliness of the management is noticeable. We feel very welcome there every time.
