The Palms is just so perfect for us. We stayed there so my husband could participate in the Fish Canoe Marathon. It is very close to the festivities and it is very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed it.
I only had one problem on Sunday when I wanted to show my son the pool area, there were dogs that didn't like us being around, and I asked the lady if we could pass to go to the pool area because her dogs kept on running towards us as I tried getting out of the car and she refused. After I requested she let us pass the 4th time, she said she would see who could put the dogs back, and I got frustrated and rather left the guesthouse.
Could do with some rugs on the tiled bedroom floors in winter.
The room was beautiful, as was the rest of the premises. The owner is very helpful and hospitable. Will definitely stay there again!
We had a comfortable stay for two nights during the Food Festival. The rooms were serviced while we were out and we then had access to all the cleaned kitchen equipment. The swimming pool is a hit with children. It is very conveniently located next to the True Living restaurant, which is fabulous too.
We had a great stay at The Palms! Blushing Palm was silver clean and tidy, the beds very comfortable and the bath was lovely and large. The unit is perfect for a small family to comfortably stay together for a weekend, or longer. The unit has all the basic things one needs. WiFi was lightning fast. The hostess also welcomed us very kindly and had a nice chat. The garden and pool area is beautiful and a pleasure to walk through. One can see that hard work is put in to keep the premises tidy and maintained. We would definitely recommend The Palms and we will definitely stay here again.

During loadshedding and the HOTTEST DAY OF THE YEAR we were told the generator wasnt working. . So the aircon wasnt able to work!
Very luxurious and comfortable.
We tried calling the venue informing them that we were running late but the calls didn't get through. When we arrived at the venue, we couldn't get inside and both numbers on their entrance were unavailable. We eventually called the website and their customer service personnel tried to contact the venue as well and they subsequently contacted one of the guests that had booked at the same venue. The guest opened the gate for us which helped because it was very dark outside and we were travelling as females. When we got into the premises we looked for reception and we couldn't get hold of the owners. After several attempts by the website to get hold of the owner, they wanted to organize alternate accommodation for us but the owner showed up and informed us she was not expecting us because her calendar was not synchronized. She then explained how the system and poor network failed her. Once inside, the room was pretty decent and comfortable. I would use the venue again but just ensure that I arrive during the stipulated check-in times.
This is now our second time staying there on the way to Jeffreys Bay and if you stop there it is quiet and comfortable for the children to hang out and watch TV.
At The Palms we got in late after 8pm and everything was arranged, also very early check out at 5.30am and was easy to check out - luckily paid in advance.
Was available at all times when help was needed.

The rooms differ according to bookings made. It's a comfortable room and very neat. The room we booked had a gas geyser and unfortunately we did not get hot water for some reason. We mentioned this after we checked out and no feedback was received.
Overnight on the way back home, as well as exploring the town as we have never driven through it.

We spent the night there on our way to the Garden Route. The corner bath and shower above was nice. The bunk bed wobbles a bit, which worried my son a bit, but he slept well. The room itself is very good. Unfortunately there is a sewer leak in the parking area which made it unpleasant outside. If it wasn't for that we would have enjoyed the big trees in the wind more.
Clean and well maintained rooms. They even swopped one of our rooms to a room with a bath because we had an 8 month old baby with us.
We stayed 1 night and were very pleased with the cleanliness, size and pool.
No one received us and/or came to make sure that everything was OK with the room! It was very hot and the air conditioning did not work properly.
We had a great stay and would love to spend the night there again. It's just that there seems to be a reasonable communication gap between management. The unit we booked was not quoted for us - upon enquiry, we were informed that all units have showers. I need a shower where I can get in and out easily and safely due to 2 back surgeries I have had. We were then assured that the unit they quote for us not only has a regular shower, but a walk-in shower which is therefore very easy and safe for me. When we arrived we were put in another unit which is not self catering and where the shower is over the bath! On our second day, the owners did come to ask whether or not we wanted to move to a self-catering unit - since our stay was already halfway through and we really didn't feel like transferring everything to another unit, we decided to but to bite the bullet and stay where we are. Next time we will know and for sure insist on getting what we need and not what the person making their reservations feels like doing.
The accommodation was basic but very comfortable with everything you need. Secure, plenty of parking and the welcome very efficient. Our only complaint was the food which was over priced and not good at all. I’d rather take our own microwave meal next time or would rather braai as all those facilities are there.
The staff go out of their way to make everything as homely as possible. Really great, would always recommend!

Due to a long journey and unforeseen circumstances, we didn't get there until well before 21:00. Still, the owner received us kindly and made us feel welcome. The unit was neat and clean and Klaas Vakie was also there to let us sleep well. It is thoughtful of the owner to also have mosquito repellent there so that we could sleep undisturbed.

The place where we have to enter for your stay, the back gate was very unsafe for me, especially in my case as a woman to enter the back gate alone (dark and remote, surrounded by bushes) and to stop to punching in the gate code was not a good experience, especially in the evenings. Furthermore, the accommodation was very comfortable and a nice stay. The breakfast services were not good. I was offered room service for breakfast, but then I didn't get my breakfast at the time I was supposed to get it, and breakfast without juice or yogurt or a fruit is insufficient. Other than that I enjoyed my stay. It's very private and comfortable to visit. Thank you for your services The Palms.

The room is practical and comfortably equipped. The furniture particularly impressed me, as it is a large table, three-seater sofa and king-size bed that fit comfortably in the spacious room. There is enough space for two people and room for luggage. The kitchen part is slightly around the corner, also well equipped and the bathroom is private with everything you need.

Everyone was friendly, and helpful. The rooms were clean, tidy and it feels and is first class. We really enjoyed our stay.
It would be a good idea to place a notice at the front gate saying that there is parking on the premises. Directions to the back of the premises would help people arriving there for the first time to show them that they have to enter the parking from the back.
One slight problem: the TV didn't work properly, only eTV and no DStv. After a long struggle, finally got the settings right to view DStv. Would have really liked breakfast in the mornings.
There was a wedding when we stayed there and it made it quite noisy, but the guests went home at 10 pm, as promised by the owner. Had a good night's rest.
On arrival there was no bell at the gate. Eventually we drove around the block and found a open gate. Nobody in sight and we walked around on the property to fiind somebody. The lady did not introduce herself, gave us the key and we never saw anybody again. Had a cold shower because there was no gas silinder for the geyser.
