11 guests' feedbackVery nice home and has everything you need. Even received a lovely wine and biscuits for the kids. Best stoep to relax and the best fynbos garden for the 4 legged kids. Nice mountain view and you hear the ocean when you go to sleep. The local neighbours are also very friendly. Will definitely be back!
We were pleasantly surprised. The house is very new, very neat and is equipped to make your stay just wonderful. Would love to return in high summer.
The neighbours' rooster has been crowing right next to the master bedroom window since 04:00 in the morning. So if you intend to rest, you should book other accommodation instead, because you are not going to rest for sure.
Very pleasant house, makes for a comfortable visit.
Very attractive spot in Betty's Bay; comfortable for 4 adults & furry friends. Impeccably clean on arrival. Newly built and very tastefully furnished, very little to complain about (yes, the infamous chicken is still there and no, it's not nearly as loud as people say. Steak knives and serving spoons would be nice to have, but only if nitpicking. ) Power outtages are a chronic problem in the area, but the house does what it can to minimize the inconvenience with a gas stove, LED lamps and battery backup for the WIFI. Exactly as advertised, with all the amenities for a comfortable long stay. The indoor fireplace was a life saver, but a TV was sorely missed. With most breakaways happening on the weekend, being able to watch the rugby on a Saturday together or have a family movie night would have been welcomed, especially when the weather turns and you're unable to go outside. All in all, a very high standard for Betty's. would definitely recommend.
What a lovely simple little spot. Really enjoyed switching off and cozying up in front of the fireplace. Lovely little streets to walk down and take in nature.
We had a wonderful stay and I would go back anytime again. Will definitely recommend it to anyone.
The place inside was very tastefully and comfortably furnished, with everything you need and security. It may be another new development, but the "garden" definitely needs some attention, it makes the place look very bad, which is not the case. The location of the house is not close to the sea, but has a very nice view of the mountain at the back.
Cosy fireplace inside, and a bit windy on the porch when the Cape winds prevail.
Modern kitchen and modern bathrooms with a homely feel in the bedrooms and shared area. The assisted main en suite bathroom (seat/handle) was very helpful for my 9-year-old son who fractured his foot. It is really a very relaxing environment and we were so happy to be able to bring our dog with us as well. Missed having a TV just a bit - for movie nights. There is a lot of seating in the lounge area for a 4 sleeper unit. We felt safe and we could unwind as a family. You cannot see the ocean but you can definitely hear it.
I did not like the "no blinds/curtains" in the lounge and kitchen area. We were not sure if someone could be looking in especially at night. We didn't feel comfortable being in an area where outsiders could possibly look in. A television would also have been nice to have there. The modern looking feel of the house was great. The Bosch fridge however was a nightmare as the freezer alarm beeped all the time especially with all the loadshedding we had for the two nights we stayed there. I would have liked a other fridge even a bar fridge to replace the noisy beeps the Bosch was giving. I didn't like having to wait until a fridge technician was going to come out the next day to sort out the fridge as no one could help at the time. I expected someone to go the extra mile to sort the fridge or replace it no matter the time. It was either having the food and drinks cold and live with the noise or switch the fridge off completely which we were advised to do and the result was warm yoghurt, juice, bottled water for breakfast. Dessert with cream and fruit brought from Cape Town had to be thrown out. Warm beer and cokes were not tasty at all.
