The house is fantastically equipped with everything one needs. The lookout point is walking distance from the house and there is also a bench near the house against the KNP wire where one can sit quietly and watch animals - not that it was at all necessary to move away from the house as the animals moved around the house all the time. Watch out for the baboons - they open doors.
We were in our element the minute we went through the door! Everything just said "welcome back to the bush". We felt at home again! Enjoyed every minute of our stay. The only thing we missed was that we would have preferred an electric kettle.

Fantastic forest holiday in a comfortable, clean and well-equipped house. We had a variety of animals and birds on our doorstep and the roar of the lions and chatter of the manatees kept us company around the fire every night. What a lovely week.

On arrival the Osprey greeted us with its call and also a stray baboon. Place is well furnished and very well located. The host and wife were very helpful. Think the shower could use some attention. Will definitely go again.
We stayed right next to the KNP fence, very easy access to Krans lookout.
We once again had a very nice stay. Everything you could need was available. Place was clean and tidy. Beautiful wildlife came to say hello every day. It is definitely one of our nicest places to stay. Affordable with everything one could want from the woods. Thank you very much for the hospitality. We will definitely be back for another visit!
Got a big fright when Wildebees suddenly peeked onto the porch.
Great comfort and the air conditioning was certainly a bonus. Lots of wildlife that came to say hello every day. Place is clean and tidy with everything one needs. Owners followed up why power kept tripping. Wish we could have stayed a day longer but unfortunately we had to go back to work. Will definitely book there again. Only wish one could see the river from the cottage.

A home away from home, but in the bush where you can see all the wonderful animals. Although the pool was cold, it was very welcoming on our very hot days. The braai area provided us with privacy and tranquillity.

Everything was there that we needed. Quiet and very close to the border fence of the Kruger Park.
This is a great house in a fantastic location. We could have just walked to the Kransrivier lookout every day and with the multitude of animals that visited the house, which often included a herd of wildebeest and zebras, there was no need to drive anywhere. Summer in the Lowveld can be challenging, but during the day we could cool off in the large plunge pool while the air conditioners in the bedrooms ensured a pleasant night's rest. Maryanne and Dave managed the whole process extremely professionally and made us feel very much at home.
It was located right across from the river so daily walks along the river were always a treat. The house is clean, well-kept and well-equipped with all the essentials needed. Just a short walk to the krans lookout, lots of animals came to visit daily and Dave and Maryanne are very accommodating and made our stay very comfortable. Cannot wait to return to this home away from home. The dip pool was very inviting and we lived in it as the heat in the summer months can be very hot. The aircons in the bedrooms were a blessing.
All the house needs is definitely an air conditioner, it was bloody hot and fans don't help! Air conditioning in both rooms and perhaps in the middle (dining room) which may be connected to prepaid electricity so you will have to pay for your enjoyment yourself. Very nice place! Thanks also to Dave for his help and referral to someone to help us with the vehicle!

We were only disappointed in the cleanliness of the house inside. It seemed like it had not been cleaned in a while and that only the bedding was changed. Other than that, we really love going to this house as it truly is a home away from home.

Dave supplied wood there was ice in the fridge ─ small things that normally is not expected that made your first experience positive. Very clean with all accessories needed. Very homely and comfortable. Planning my next visit.
Excellent accommodation, very nice and quiet and close to the Crocodile Bridge Gate to the Kruger National Park. Animals came to visit us at home and even fed the warthogs and kudu by hand. Will use The Promised Land again.

Die huis was alles wat jy wil hê in die bos. Ons het ongelooflik lekker gekuier en gerus. Die diere kom besoek jou sommer by die voordeur van die huis. Braaigeriewe is nes jy dit in die bos wil hê. Sal beslis weer daarheen gaan. Het ook vir Dave en Maryanne ontmoet, baie aangename mense. Kan die vakansie soos volg opsom: Lekker man, lekker.

We had a lovely stay there, there is everything you need and more in the house. Children enjoyed swimming and the view of the river is heavenly.

Very nice and clean. It feels like you are at your own home, but only in the Bosveld. The Crocodile River is right in front of you. Everything is in the house that one can think of. It just gets a little hot without air conditioning. We would recommend the place to anyone.
Everything is there. Just bring yourself and food. Was 42°C. Missed the air-con! Luckily the pool was there! Amazing view of the river and saw elephants 50 meters from us. The room outside is a winner! Hear all the night sounds.

I would definitely recommend "The Promised Land" to nature lovers looking for tranquility and peace. The nature is beautiful, peaceful and dead silent. We had a kudu bull that came to visit every night, he seems to spend the night behind the house. Zebras also came to visit. The house is comfortable and meets everything one might need. It is terribly homely, feels as if it is permanently inhabited or if the people are perhaps just going somewhere soon. Thank you very much for letting us use it, it was a lovely weekend.

What a very pleasant cremation and perfect place to go and recharge! There was nothing short and the location is ideal! Everything and more was provided that I didn't even expect and we really enjoyed it! I will definitely want to stay in "The Promised Land" again!
