11 guests' feedbackThis is the perfect place for a weekend getaway to escape the city life. Less than an hour's drive from the CBD, it's like time has stood still. Kom has some of the most welcoming, friendly people you'd ever encounter, and Susan is cut from that same cloth. The Retreat certainly lives up to its name as the clean air, calm surroundings, and plants allow you to unwind and feel thoroughly rejuvenated. Parked the car then just walked everywhere, with the beach a block down the road and restaurants, coffee shops, etc. a block up the road, it really is perfectly situated. Thank you again, Susan. It was our pleasure to spend time at The Retreat.
The lighting was excellent, by the sea and other attractions. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. Provision was made for load shedding.
Was such a great location in close proximity to the beach and restaurants. The host was such a delight and we would definitely recommend to anyone as we loved our time in Kom!
Nice bohemian accommodation, very good location in walking distance to restaurants and Long Beach. Clean and safe. Very friendly host who even brought us fresh fruit and freshly baked croissants in the mornings. The host's cat visited us regularly. Unfortunately, the WiFi was very poor, but the host recommended several cafes with better WiFi where we went to get some work done.
Lekke stayed in the compact, well located unit in the Republic of Kommetjie.
It was pleasant despite a day with no water.
The host was amazing, always checked up on us. The place itself was not the best, especially for R2200. There were spiders, and no curtain on a window. The bathroom had a sheet with pegs.
It is walking distance from the beach.
It was a single garage converted into accommodation. They could have paid more attention to windows.

What a wonderful time we had. We got welcomed in the warmest way possible. We even got a few pointers on where we can go which was really great. The host made sure everything was okay throughout. We had a blast of a time an definitely going again. The place feels like Home. Would highly recommend it to all. By far the best weekend we had. Even made friends with the animals which had been next door on the hosts property. Thanks so much to the host. We will be back. Wouldn't change anything.
