The room is great, with Wi-Fi, Netflix and YouTube channels on the TV. There are heater blankets as well as a fan heater. There was a cold front, and this really helped to warm us up.

After our booking we only received our directions and contact details, no communication from The River Stay. On arrival at the gate of The River Stay, the security asked for my confirmation SMS/email and indicated which way we should take and stop right around the big house and behind. We had to drive across the lawn to get behind the house. There was a sign saying "Room 2 Parking" There are no canopies or shade nets. An elderly woman met us and politely greeted us and showed us our room. Right by the place where we parked. And we could have a good look at the vehicle. Good lights illuminate the area at night. The room is neat and clean and has enough space. Coffee, tea and milk in the room with microwave and fridge, very convenient. Bedside lamps can be switched on during load shedding. Would recommend them for overnight stays.
The setting was very peaceful and quiet. It was close to the wedding venue and the facilities were neat and tidy.
Woodlands is a neat place to stay, with a pool, waterfall and spa on site. The gate guard is well informed about the persons who must be allowed on the premises and the rooms are clean. You definitely get value for your money.
Convenient location.
My stay was good. The venue is beautiful, tranquil and was not hard to find. The host was so lovely and helped us with checking in, and also checked in on us to ensure we were comfortable. The only issue we had was that we had no electricity from the night before until we checked out. The host had to help us with a bucket of hot water so we could bathe and have our morning tea.
The peacefulness and beauty of The River Stay is unmatched.

Everything was perfect until we got there the night after the wedding. There had been no water and this made everything a bit unpleasant as we could not shower, flush the toilet or even just wash our faces. There was also no communication from anyone regarding not the water problem, which was really a shock to us because every other place we stayed that had such unexpected problems would notify us immediately.
There is nothing I could add to a superb.

We had a wonderful stay. The bed was very comfortable and the room nice and clean. The coffee station with fridge and microwave was perfect for what we needed. The hostess is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend the cute little place with its nice view.
