It's just a shame you can't check in earlier at the residence. A weekend is so short and goes by so quickly, it would have been nice to be able to check in earlier.
Very nice stay, cupboards were already full of linen and towels so I couldn't pack my clothes in the cupboards. The shower spilled a lot of water and there was only one bath mat to stop the water.

The breakfast was awesome and the staff amazing. All facilities were adequate. However, I would not recommend them as a pet-friendly establishment as there are three units on the property and they are not individually enclosed.
Unfortunately we had no water. Gas bottle for water boiling during the 4 hours loadshedding did not work. Very frustrating. And we were not informed about it.

The cottage we stayed in was very clean, comfortable with everything you need for self-catering. The bed is extra size with extra pillows, blankets and duvet in the hanging closet. The electric blanket was a bonus.

We stayed for 1 night on new years. We stayed in "Golden Oldies". The place was clean, tidy and very "cosy". We had a very nice stay. Included in our rate was breakfast at the Rose Restaurant which was also delicious.
We really enjoyed our evening at the Rose Cottage. Close to everything and the breakfast was delicious. Will definitely stay there again.

The house, Golden Oldie, is first of all very tastefully furnished and incredibly well and nicely equipped. Even ground coffee beans and two plungers were there to spoil! The electric blankets and oil heaters kept us cozy and warm. Als was beautifully clean. Breakfast at The Rose Cottage restaurant was also delicious and the waiters are very friendly. Would recommend to anyone.
Had small problem with keys but was very quick to fix it. Had no excuses, apologized profusely, resolved very quickly. Other than that, everything was excellent.
We got a little lost on arrival and my sister is a nervous customer. We were not properly informed that we had to pick up the key from the restuarant, the street names right across Dullstroom have been changed and create a lot of confusion.

The basin's taps were loose and the loose mat in the lounge needs a good clean. Otherwise everything was beautiful. The room is well equipped with enough bedding and an electric blanket. Lounge is comfortable and DStv helps while away the time.
We had a comfortable stay, a great breakaway with our 2 little dogs. The units accommodates 3 guests and has a kitchen, dining room and lounge with a single bed. The bedroom has a king sized bed and heater. Only negative was the hole in the fence. We had to continually check that the neighbours' dogs don't get through and come and bite our dogs, which was quite inconvenient. Apart from that it was a nice experience.

We have decided to leave for the Kruger Park a day earlier and stay over in Dullstroom at The Rose Cottage.

We stayed in a cute house in a very quiet area. We decided to spend the night in Dullstroom on our way to Hazyview. At The Rose Cottage, right there on the main street we received the keys to the house which was about a few blocks away from most of the traffic noise. Very cute and clean. The cottage was very well furnished with everything needed. The next morning we enjoyed a very nice breakfast on the veranda of The Rose Cottage's restaurant. Rose Cottage B&B is really the best place to stay in Dullstroom. It is value for money and it is tastefully furnished. The cottage is not on the main street, which means that you sleep well in silence. The breakfast is absolutely heavenly. Their homemade muesli is absolutely the best muesli I've ever had. Anita was very friendly and the waitress who served us was probably one of the best waitresses ever.

What was supposed to end our holiday on a high turned out to be extremely disappointing and low. After we booked the Knock Out unit with 3 bedrooms, precisely to serve as the icing on the cake after our week's holiday in the lowveld, as well as for the extra space for our two 4-year-old children, we were told that someone else in our unit lives and that we have to be satisfied with the small outside room on another site. As fate would have it, it rained and we all had to spend the evening in the small room. There is also no security on the premises (I believe there is a gate, but no fences?) and we had to leave all our luggage in the vehicle like that through the evening and hope for the best. Needless to say I refused to pay the second half of our bill the next morning even though they still insisted. be careful: what you are promised is not what you get. P.S. this was our second and last booking at Rose Cottage and their units are not on the high street as advertised.
I was not at all "Impressed" with what I received for the money I paid. Firstly, it was clearly stated on the internet that the room I booked was self-catering. The room didn't even have a microwave - let alone an oven? There is also said secure undercover parking behind a security gate and away from the street. Well, my brand new car had to stand under the tree on the side of the road, without a security fence and gate. Then the room: very nice, just a pity that it has not yet been painted and finished. They were clearly still busy with it as we smelled like paint by the end of the weekend and the builders stuff was still everywhere in the garden. I complained to the manager but was told he was only doing the dining and that he would notify the other one. We are still waiting for their feedback. I'm sorry, but you can't pretend something on the net and expect us to pay and when you get there it's not like that at all.

We could not have asked for better service and value for money. The price included breakfast and what a delicious breakfast it was! The unit is beautiful and comfortable with everything needed and more. Thank you so much for a wonderful break.
You can't go wrong with Rose Cottage. This was our second stay at Rose Cottage, this time at Rose Park which is on the main road in Dullstroom, however don't be put off by this as it is still absolutely quiet and peaceful. The house is 4 star in my opinion, fully self catering and the breakfasts served are lovely. You will have a very luxurious stay at any of the Knockout units. Dullstroom gets very cold so we always take a small heater along, we suggest you do too!
The peaceful atmosphere and the sun pouring into the living room early in the morning are reason enough to make you want to go back the very next day. The "hot chocolate" was a nice late-night treat, which you don't get in any guest house, and we slept soundly. The breakfast in the fresh air was special. It was the best Valentine's Day/Birthday present ever! (Thanks Husband!) I would recommend such a getaway weekend in Dullstroom to anyone.

This is the ideal place to stay for a visit in Dullstroom, with a delicious breakfast the next morning which was a good ending.
Our accommodation was clean and very tidy. The view was not amazing, as we could only look out onto the garden. We were hoping to get more of a nature view. The peace and quiet was wonderful and made up for it. The fact that the breakfast was included in the price made everything much easier. The breakfast consisted of a large variety of dishes and was carefully presented and very tasty.

I would stay at the Rose Cottage again; it is central in the licorice, especially if you would visit a restaurant you do not need to travel far from Dullstroom. Very nice place to stay. Nice garden with space for my Jack Russel. Nice porch for visiting and braai.
