4 guests' feedbackIt was lovely to be able to walk around the farm with the dogs. The sheep came to say hello a few times and all the birds were great to listen to. The dogs enjoyed their holes! Montagu village is only 15 minutes drive and has everything you will need and definitely something to experience. You can relax on the porch. In the afternoons we barbecued and in the evening we sat around the table by the fireplace. The owners of the farm are so hospitable and even gave us a small tour of the farm. For the first time the place was better than the pictures and it exceeded our expectations. We are definitely going back! It was amazing.
We had a wonderful stay! Neatly furnished and beautifully cleaned. Lots of places to hang out in the house and well equipped with basic necessities. Friendly reception.
The simplicity of the cottage, the excellent hosts, Nel and Elmarie are the very reason we will book again as soon as we get another break. The cottage is close to Montagu and Barrydale which makes the location perfect. We were also able to bring our dogs, which was very special. Finally, the cottage is off the grid, which we loved.
We went for a walk, the house is dog friendly, kitchen is fully equipped, very tidy, we heard owls in the evening and watched the beautiful starry sky, lovely porch, ablution is outside - not recommended for freezing days, luckily there is hot water with a gas geyser. Would have connected gas in the house instead on a table and used fire place for fireplace.
